And anyway I don't think making an as of myself is actually a song title.

OK. So at least we are getting somewhere now.

It's a religious group.

So we can add bishops and priests to the list of dodgy bastards welcomed then?

Excellent you're back Bresslaw. Can you now tell me whether you knew that the organisation you linked to to show that the Freemasons admit women is not part of mainstream Freemasonry because UGLE threw it out about a century ago? I'm wondering whether you were ignorant of the facts or deliberately misleading people? Either way it makes it hard to take your other claims seriously.

Anyway, as you like supreme beings here is a song about one. The open, honest and in no way strange chaps at your men-only club will love it.

But you need to talk about religion to get in in the first place.

How odd.

No you don't need to talk about religion to get in. You need to answer a very basic question.

Who'd a thought this thread would run so long? I have to say the few Freemasons I know, whilst they are a reasonable, harmless sort of people , I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Sneaky types, the types who have opinions on everything , but are afraid to say it out aloud, devils advocate types , like the old pub landlords, say one thing to one person, and something else to another , gossips, backstabbers, nosey types. Just my opinion based on my life experiences. I am sure not all like that, anyone else know any masons fit this description?.

I'm really good looking and I haven't been approached to join.

Should I be worried?

Is it because I was late returning SWAT on DVD to BlockBusters?

Freemasonry is not concerned with the private lives of its members. It has no official position on the morality of sexual orientations.. Any man may become a Freemason provided that he believes in God, is loyal to his country, and is a man of good character. Since being gay does not contradict any of those requirements they would be allowed to join , though as in any walk of life may meet some resistance along the way.

There aren't any women Freemasons in lodges recognised by UGLE are there Bresslaw. You're pretending that women in a separate organisation that uses the word Freemasons in its name counts. It doesn't and you know that, saying untruths are facts doesn't make them true.

The 'taught to be cautious brigade' help each other hence all judges, magistrates, police etc should be obliged to make public their membership of a potentially corrupt organisation. There are lodges exclusively for police which will always be suspected of being responsible for the closing of ranks when wrongdoing should be made public.
