Whilst on holiday last week, I started reading The Brethren by John Grisham, got to page 221 and will have to buy the book to finish it off, just been on world books and he pumps out 4 novels a year, I`m going to start writing.

I saw a documentary on how ships are kept together; it was riveting.

For me John Grisham books all very similar, tend too get boring half way through.
I enjoyed the film Runaway Jury with John Cusak.

I agree ! one of first books I bought was Grisham, The Client, enjoyed it and read his next few books, then thought , bloody hell , these all follow a similar pattern, all lawyer related. I think you find this with a lot of writers to be fair , follow a well worn path. If people keep buying, why change I suppose.

Fatty Batter is the funniest sports book I've ever read.

Can't beat an autobiography for a holiday read

Yes fatty batter is a favourite of mine.
The way he describes developing his skill at undoing his girl friends bra strap by unwrapping Spangle behind his back in a school class is brilliant!
