Altogether now....

All of our supporters deserve a nutritionally balance meal when attending home games. Burgers give protein and chips carbohydrates add fruit juice and a Caesar salad would add to the balance washed down of course by a bottle of Blue Nun!

Which regular poster do we reckon this 'hilarious' Gordy character is? I have a good idea and my sides are quite literally splitting I'm on tenterhooks awaiting his next contribution.

I thought the contributions of others were more "hilarious" than any of my comments.........

I'm surprised the local entrepreneurs haven't taken the opportunity to park a chip van outside the ground to give the fans their "fix".
If we're early enough we sometimes visit the chippy in Seaton and eat them whilst parked on the sea front.
After all, isn't that what everyone does when visiting the seaside.
Our nearest seaside is over fifty miles away.
I might take me bucket and spade tomorrow.

Which chippy, what do you get and what would you rate it?

Don Bee's.
It depends but a half lot is usually favourite.
They're good.
The last time we got some was before the Barnet game at the end of last season. We had sandwiches with us so just got chips. I like a few chips with me sandwiches.

Seeing that your expertise and knowledge on these matters is legendary,Mr Tree, I'll give it a go.
When I lived in Hartlepool( left in '78) the best chippy was in Oxford Road but it is just a matter of opinion. Kenny Johnson fried a decent fish though....just like he used to fry defences.

Not bad but it was a bit of a trek to fetch them, especially when they were always bloody shut.

All the fish & chip shops in Seaton , including Surfside are good to very good imo, usually use Almighty Cod, but tried Youngs last time out, and they were as good as Almighty Cod. Verrills is overated imo , too greasy.

Best time to go is just after they open at 11.15. Yes opening times are restricted but i think that helps them focus on quality.

They always say the Cod is 'beer battered' on pub menus to make it sound like higher end Cod.

Well we made cheese and onion sandwiches to take with us and visited Seaton to buy our chip accompianment. We bought the chips from fish face, as Tree suggested, and they were excellent.
The queue at Don Bee's was lengthy. Almighty Cod FFS.................it's Don Bee's.

The beer or lager in fish batter gives it a richer colour and improved crispness, if you use a dark beer you can actually taste it, I used to use lager and carbonated water with a combo of plain and cornflour, was crispy as.

Do any chippies/restaurants in town make it like that?

Chippies won`t, all about the profit, just flour and water, not sure if restaurants do, I cannot divulge my secret recipe, see you got the password changed then?
