An unexpected offer to have the kids tonight from the outlaws means me and the missus have a chance to go out for a spot of dinner.

Where do the good people of The Bunker recommend we go?? Preferably a pub

Don't know how far you want to go but Grosvenor Casino in Stockton is excellent for food - offers two for one with a Tastecard during the week too. Rib eye steak (rare)...outstanding!

I just had a lovely Fish Finger Sandwich in the Kent Village of West Malling.

Great old pub as well. Quaint little rooms arranged seemingly at random.

Limited train service though.

I used to live in upper Halling just a few miles away, somebody knocked a tooth out by trying to ram a pool ball in my mouth, was a northern thing and I was being my usual self, not sure what provoked it sctatchinghead

If you don't mind a drive and a ride on a ferry we once had some beautiful swordfish at The Spyglass at Ventnor on the Isle of Wight.

The dry roasted nuts in The Woodcutter used to be a good feed.

I went to that Turkish restaurant on the marina.

Was utterly disappointed.

Service was first class. Food was fantastic. Price was reasonable.

But I came away pissed off that it seems some of you fuckers do know what your talking about.

A mate of mine lived in Beeston, Leeds. An absolute cesspit of a place, made port clarence look like Kensington.
