You know they play on a plastic pitch and walloped Leyton Orient 6-1 on Tuesday!

Love your optimism Mutley

Sadly having seen some abysmal defending so far this season, and Bromley are on fire, we're on the way to a thumping.

3-1 with some individual errors contributing to their goals and piss poor midfield creating nowt until Cassidy scores a header from a set piece late on.

1955 crowd with 225 Poolies

You have to guess who gives the backpasses to set up the opposition. Some people are still doing it for the last game.

I fear we will put in another away performance like last weeks at Maidenhead, i.e. inept. Hopefully I'm wrong and we play like we did for most of the game on Tuesday but I'd predict a 2-0 home win.

Our attack is due to come good, so I reckon a spirited 8-5 defeat.

Our players won't adapt to the pitch and succumb to a comfortable 2-0 defeat

I actually fancied us for a 2-0 win. No reason other than football is sometimes like that. I had a plan in my head as to how that win could be achieved , but my 4-5-1 formation included Blair Adams, and now I hear he wont be playing because of injury. He was central to my plan. So my revised forecast is :

0-0
1738

No predictions from me just hope to see a better performance than I did last week at Maidenhead. It would make a change to come back from an away game with a smile on my face for a change!

But we're playing on some alien surface that only Bromley have played on so we're doomed.

The start to our season maybe? The fact bromley just put 6 past orient, our dodgy defence and invisible midfield. 1-0 pools then it is.

Think we might be lucky to keep it scoreless with a backs to the wall display and a bit of luck that their forwards have an off day as well as their No6 not getting on the end of crosses/corners into our box.

Yes you can. Harrogate Town have a sprinkler system on their 3g pitch and water it pre match!

So according to Mister Featherstone, we are Hartlepool United. Yes, we are, you are a fleeting appearance. Yes sir you are a talented player but such statements as Pools are the biggest club in the National League. Really? Hmm, Tranmere Rovers, Leyton O, Wrexham? Such statements guaranteed to wind up the opposition. Well done. As for tomorrow down in Kent. Bromley 1 Pools 0. Long journey home. The ghost of Lawrence (God Bless Him) tries to rally the lads and Keith Houchen and Bob Newton wanted to come out of retirement to play but were stopped by Euro law 198794/oune/123 which states that ex players who cared for HUFC are not allowed to return. Meanwhile some halfwit jumps off The Heugh and damages the stonework with his head and wakes up in the nearest hospital with a casualty (Nottingham) and believes Pools won 10-0. How much longer can this madness go on?

In the past it would be just like us to win, every time you write them off and all that, though this time its difficult to envisage anything other than a defeat. Even if we did win , you just know we would go and lose or draw 0-0 against Fylde next week, classic Hartlepool as you say.

1-4 about time we kicked arse in this league and its time to get started and climb up this table fast! All 4 goals to the main man and by far the only player to stand head and shoulders above the rest of this team this season...Jake Cassidy soon to be a true Poolie Legend. Best signing in years.....

I'm throwing my last bit of blind optimism at this one. I'm going 2 - 1 Pools.

I'd like to see us bring Munns in for Amond and change to a 4 5 1.

I agree with dropping Amond he looks disinterested to me.

I'd play Rodney alongside Cassidy to add some pace and get onto the flick ons and run the channels.

Midfield 4 of Featherstone and Newton with Donaldson and Deverdicks.

I'd also bring in Richardson at RB and move Mags to LB and Donnelly in the middle with Harrison dropping out

What do we do now? More fucking about with the tactics, another stupid system and getting soundly beat off fucking Bromley.

He can fuck off messing about with it. Talks the talk in interviews but this season so far it looks like he hasn't got a clue on his best team, best formation, preparation for games, homework on the opposition... anything to be honest.

Rodney on for Deverdics. Like for like. Why? We're 2-0 down for fuck's sake. Get one of the 80 centre mid's we have off the pitch.

Don't worry, it's just the pitch to blame.

With each passing game, Harrison is looking more out of his depth. I really wanted it to work for him, a local lad who'd earned his chance at a lower level rather than a has been or a never will be. Its been clear the defence is a problem since day 1, replacements haven't been brought in (aside from a winger who's never convinced) and issues haven't been addressed adequately. Not sure I can keep the faith in him for much longer.
