Heard he's the new Andy Carroll.

Played ok at Cheltenahm (by ok I mean he put a bit of effort in and actually had a go).

Blackford - scouted by Rangers and goes on trial with them, yet the manager doesn't see he is good enough to even make the bench in the Conference ??

Hawkes - has a cracking pre-season and scores a few goals, okay against very low league shite but showed he has ability and composure when needed. Now obviously loaned out and not getting his game.

Simpson - suddenly scouted by Liverpool and the Toon, so must have something in his locker...again not chosen to even sit on the bench. Do these scouts see something our lot don't ???

Do you honestly think Rangers, Liverpool and Newcastle are looking at them with a view to putting them in their first team??

They are just showing potential, the fact teams are looking at them doesnt in anyway mean they are ready for first team football.

There seems to be a lot of people suggesting blackford gets a game but what's that based on?

Has he been getting rave reviews in reserve games?

What came of all of these trials?

Man city rangers and his loan at darlo?

Why hasn't anyone signed him?

Why haven't any previous or current pools boss give him a start?

Surely questions that are worth asking?

He got a bit of game time towards the back end of last season and didn't look ready physically for first team football. He's obviously got some ability but I'm not sure you can throw kids in the way a lot of the other teams are. Comparing u23/reserve team football to the Conference is like talking about different sports.

I'm sure if he was outstanding in training or for the reserves he'd be involved though.
