Is it me but i just dont rate him at all. What has he achieved and what does he do on the pitch. Yes he runs around a lot, tries hard etc etc but when you compare him to Torpey hes no where near. Or is it the rest of the players are so crap they give him no service?

I think it's been pointed out several times he was very effective at Grimsby when playing alongside a big bugger. We don't have one of those and the rest of the team also seem unable to create chances of any note so I doubt we'll ever see the best of him. Far from our worst player though so bizarre to single him out.

Most of his goals from Grimbsy were from crosses. We don't have any wingers so he's going to be shit.

Knowing us we'll sell him and buy two wingers then complain no one gets on the end of crosses.

He scored 35 goals in the conference for Grimsby n 14 for us last year in a shite side on his own upfront with no support.

He's clearly a good striker in the box. We keep getting him to do too much work outside the box.

If Mr Amond (thanks for the spelling lesson) is an effective striker then why dont the coaches and the team play to his strengths?
We have wingers like Blackford and a possible return of Franks so lets try it or get a big bugger up front.
He looks very frustrated on the pitch but ineffective also.

Him and Cassidy could form a very good partnership at this level he's a target man who wins his fair share of headers and he has an excellent touch.

guarantee if we let him go to either another team in the NL or League 2 he would be banging them in for fun. Then we would all be questioning why he couldn't do that for pools and the answer so rightly stated ... lack of balls in the box and delivery to the front men isn't very good. We are crying out or some decent wingers albeit a left winger and some creative midfielder who isn't scared of the ball and bigger than 6 ft

Amond did well to score the amount of goals he did in a struggling team last season. His form though seemed to dip towards the end of last season , and I imagine for whatever reason he isn't happy , and when someone isn't happy at work their performance dips. When he does eventually leave , I cant see it been for any great amount of money , less than 100k and falling with every poor game I would guess.
