Magnay is no leader. Having a mare too. Too weak. No player able to impose themselves. Awful formation. No midfield. Playing 5 there but no width up top. Piss poor Management. Players not good enough, second to every ball. Only Hawkins put a tackle in. Just not good enough. Trying to play football but not composed or good enough. Embarrassed.

I have no idea what Lewis Hawkins is supposed to bring to this team. Easily knocked off the ball, no creativity, 'shows' for the ball three yards in front of the defender with opposition players all around.

As someone has said, any change there will be a change for the better.

Harrison should have been released in the season where we released him then he played every game! Back 3 are passing it around unnecessarily and playing us into trouble.

There seems to be a void in the centre of midfield, is Hawkins actually playing? Dont think Newton has been too bad, well certainly far from our worst player.

The defence is truly woeful and seems to be the area we neglected over the summer.

To be fair to them, when have we ever recently played a back 5 with Magnay at the middle of 3 centre backs, he is a right back and you need much more discipline from your other two centre backs to deal with it, Harrison for one is not smart enough for that. We need to switch back to 442 again

What I'm not liking is how often we are changing formation. Seems like he hasn't a clue what his best team is.

FFS Have we got a plan, some of the most basic footballing errors you will see, basically how not to play football.

What are we playing at????

I genuinely don't think we have a plan other than playing it out from the back. We have no idea going forward at all and players at the back who aren't comfortable on the ball. It's suicidal.

Watching this, I have no idea how we can possibly do any better than the last few seasons. We have literally nobody that can take the game over and dictate play. It seems like Maidenhead have twice as many players, no matter where the ball falls, there's never anybody near it! Not once has it seemed like we are going to come anywhere near scoring, considering we are playing Maidenhead (no disrespect) that is just depressing!

After all the optimism, the realities of non league football are now clear for all to see.
This season is all about getting to grips with our new situation and preventing a 'York' happening.
Any talk of promotion and playoff spots is just a load of hot air. Just look at the number of former EFL clubs in the National League and that tells you that most teams relegated from division 2 are not good enough to get back.
A complete clear out was needed but without a huge increase in finances, that was impossible so it was obvious what was coming.

We need to play with a purpose. For too long have we started with the 'keep it tight and see what happens' philosophy.

Let's go at teams from the start with some fucking urgency.

Regardless of whether or not they are working their bollocks off, a professional football team should be able to actually put a shift in and get a win! It's embarrassing!

All the ridiculous hype going into the season about us being favourites and CH looking forward to the pressure of expectations has very quickly came crashing down!

I disagree about Rodney, he looked lost and definitely didn't offer any better than Donaldson. Think people's perception of him is altered cos he scored two goals in one game.

Club is a joke unfortunately. Players just get away with performances like that. Can someone tell them and the manager and his backroon staff that preseason finished a while back.

Fuck me :(

Is not passing the ball across the face of your goal the first thing you're taught?

The ONLY positive I can pull from this game is both goals were mistakes which in theory can be sorted out.....hmm..

Nope, I saw that bit, he was being screamed at to keep going, he forced the defender into a mistake and passed the ball into the box. I wouldn't say that one piece of contribution warrants a starting place, especially considering that he missed 95% of pre-season through injury.

No positives for us. I thought the ref and the two assistants were good. 9 out of 10 stuff. Super.

How many formation changes have we had in 3 games? Far too many is my opinion. Seems to me that either Harrison thinks we're capable of playing many different formations (which we aren't) or he doesn't know his best team (more likely).

We aren't Holland. Our players aren't effective in multiple positions.

I appreciate this is a bit of a cliche but we need to go back to footballing basics - do things the players can do naturally. Try more complex shit when there is nothing at stake and we're full of confidence.

I really don't know what to say.

I know it's only one game but from what I saw there

Head wrightsons from the 1980s district league and the lion Sunday morning team from the late 80's early 90s would have murdered that pools team.

Easily the worst pools team I have witnessed.

Does pam really low what she's doing?

The manager appears confused and his players don't look good enough for that level.

I am taking comfort that it was only one game and they may be better than that.

But £20 to watch that lot? Your kidding right Pam?

What difference would the formation make?

The players were wank.

AND STOP PLAYING PLAYERS OUT OF POSITION. Fucking poor. If we haven't got the players to play the way we want to play, get rid and get new ones in. If we can't get those players in, then play to the strengths of the players we do have. Basic fucking management.

Deverdics isn't a left winger. Amond isn't a lone striker. Magnay isn't a centre half. Rodney isn't a right winger. Etc, etc
