Treat myself to a nice pair of Tortoise shell ones in Newcastle today , they were so nice I put them straight on.

Only trouble was . it took me 4 hours to walk from Fenwicks to Central Station

Crap trainers, coz when Mam was alive she bought his ensemble (and she liked a bargain). However he did look trendy when he wore my cast offs!

On the subject of shoes. On Saturday on way to game, saw a bloke in Murray Street, hobbling towards me. On closer inspection I saw he was wearing only one shoe. Out of embarrassment I said to him " You lost a shoe Marra " to which he replied " No I've just found one " . I didn't know where to put myself , fookin hell Thatcher has a lot to answer for.
