TBF not too much between the 2 sides, maybe Grimsby had more possession and used the width, where we appeared at times to play too central. Also both sides created a few chances, just they took theirs better. Second half fitness took its toll, which is why these pre season friendlies are important. All in all looked a good run out. Well done lads, beaten but not disgraced. And all had a good time.

The problem as I see it from the kick about on Monday is, every fucker wants to score a goal and you end up with 1 defender against 3 attackers and you as the last line, throwing yourself from post to post while your forward line trudge back gasping for air :hand:

Was pretty much the opposite yesterday, we had a squad of mainly defensive players and ended up far too deep.

I think the roll on roll off was a blessing and a curse. Wasn't always a like for like change but we were glad of the break. They only had 2 subs so was easier for them to remain consistent.

Going forward i think we need to identify who plays in what position and try do like for like subs. A few more kick abouts and we'll be there. Happy to play again in the next fortnight.

Mondays are difficult for me too but any other weekday night count me in.
