He was a full International for Norway as well.

But seemingly one of our worst ever players

I reckon you could pick a pretty decent team out of some of the more radged suggestions on this thread!!

Bjornsson actually had a few caps for Iceland and even scored for them. He played a fair few games for brann bergen as well, regarded as one of the big clubs in Norway. I just don't think he was used to the kind of football over here.

Funnily enough despite his knees wasn't it a dislocated shoulder that finished him here? Lange that is.

I saw Bjornnson have one good game and that was when he got elbowed after about 5 minutes I think by a Millwall centreback. He seemed to totally flip and played with some aggression for once.

My memory must be going then, sure he scored at the Town End after coming on as a sub.

Robbie Elliot would be up there if it wasn't for his decent playing past!

It's not you're right, pretty sure the goal was at the Rink End though;

You could be right seem to remember it was to my left for some reason, maybe I was in the Milhouse rather than the Cyril then.

Seem to remember he went friggin nuts when he scored.

It was a good goal a volley into the far corner. I'm not sure he really featured much again.

The same John Gill who played 43 league games in our very first promotion season at the centre of a defence whose goals against record wasn't improved on until 40 years later?

I wasn't lucky enough to be able to witness this magnificent moment in the clubs history. The facts don't lie, he came on as sub and scored on his debut, so a bit harsh imo, saying he was worst player, though he played another 16 games and never scored. Kona Hislop in same team played 26 and never scored. Surely likes of him should be in top 10 all time worst?.

I remember that!

I quite liked Bambi - he tried hard and was nowhere near as bad a many mentioned elsewhere in this thread......

I think everyone was hoping no one would mention Howard.

It was at the rink end . A mis- hit half volley followed by a mis-hit half volley against his own post a bit later plus a booking for a very poor tackle. His overall " performance" was why he only featured about half a dozen times or so.

Solano wouldn't be far behind.

Did Solano ever release that tell all book Amigo?

It wasn't snowing ( may of been some piled up around the perimeter) . That was Marcus at his best , 8/10 performance, that put us 10 or 12 pts clear. The day I turned around to my dad and said, this is it dad, we are going to win at title. My miserable dad said, I'm still not convinced, I think we will blow it. Aaaarrggh!!!!! :angry-screaming:

After checking I'm surprised the Great Gadsby made so few appearances. Seemed like he was around for ever at the time.

If youre not sure how a goal went, just go to YouTube and look at my Poolie Pride Channel. Most from 88 onwards are on there. Saves people describing tap-ins as great volleys etc etc...
