I've just watched half an hour of it, is it me or does it seem a bit flat? Also I'm suprised there are so many empty seats.

The whole thing is Godawful ...

The wife has monopolised the front roon and i have so far been to the pub, had a bath, cleaned the bathroom, made me own tea (!!!), cleaned the kitchen, fed the hens, watered the polytunnel, done a bit of work and am now giving serious thought of going back to the pub.

Brian Ferry, Take That, Ballett and Rod Steweart.

At least I now have a seriously good idea of what Hell is like. ...

I am off to Live Earth next Saturday and looking forward to it. The artists are more to my liking than todays Diana concert.

Aye - 20 years ago. Granted, of all the current crop of pensioners still strutting, or zimmering, their stuff, at least he can still hold a note. Brian Ferry on the other hand needs to give it a rest. A very very long rest.

Not to mention what she did for most of the officers of the Household Cavalry!

Not saying she was good, bad, indifferent or a saint disuised as a Sloane Ranger - just this telethon of 'nice' music and lovely people is doing my nut in. Its 9:50 on a Sunday night and its driven me back to working.

Must get another tele ...

Come on, given how long she's been dead it's amazing she can sing at all.....

Not fussed, not watching it. I was never a fan of hers anyway.

At the risk of getting slagged, I thought Take That were exceptional. Good old fashioned pop.

Mandela's on, whos next? Gerry Adams? Martin McGuiness or lets go the whole hog and get Bin Laden to say a few words. Murdering terrorists one and all.

Good point. What is the demarkation point between freedom fighter and terrorist?

Completely enjoyed the whole show, apart from the rap/R&B acts(adjusts dad rock glasses)and Duran Duran.
Loved,The Feeling.Toms superior Arctic Monkeys cover,Orson,Hoss Stone(helluva voice but bonkers),Rod Stewart,Ricky Gervais was hilarious,Take That were good, and Eltons "Tiny Dancer" was the shows highlight for me,not forgetting Rodger Hodgson, who looks like jesus, but cant half write a good choon.

Di,although born into a lifestyle that is alien to most folk around here, showed a great warmth and humanity to many disabled/under priviledged people.
Though its easy to follow the cynics, and criticise all she did,and what she stood for.The fact that so many people in personal, helpless situations, thought so much of her,is enough for me to believe she was a decent human being.

When we were in the Irish bar on the Marina we were sat under one of the tellys, there was a biggish group of youngish lads and lasses next to us and when Lily Allen came on a couple of them asked if we could turn the volume up, after I asked them if they were having a laugh and taking the piss I had a look but couldn't see a volume button to my relief

What is it about Joss Stone that people buy into - nasal voiced pub singer absolute tosh, worst garbage in the history of pop.

Tiny Dancer - now there's a song although old Elton (like Rod the mod) has lost his voice for me.

And P.Diddy - is he after a knighthood?

A few things

1 - Diana did a lot for charity but wouldn't we all if we didn't have to graft for a living? And could stay and go almost anywhere a no cost to ourselves?

2 - i'm sure she was a nice person, all the lads she knew certainly thought so.

3 - i thought Bin Laden was dead, hence his lack of video's in the last 4 years......

Am I the only person in the world who didn't know this concert was on?

Strangely enough I was in a seaside town called La Grande Motte yesterday and saw with surprise that they had a Diana Square (Princesse de Galles 19whatever - 1997).
I thought what the fook is the world coming to.
