As they are calling it on the OS

Decent bit of work by Harrison, just what the doctor order, and also good that he gives us an insight into what he sees in these players players on his blog on the Official club website.

The club will have to purchase some weight lifting equipment to keep Luke George happy

Pools retweeted a journalist who works for the Non League Paper today, he reckons we've had a very good day of business.

Loach and Cassidy with games, confidence and fitness are a lot better than the National League. Munns is a young lad who in his first season in regular football was excellent at this level, and George could be a rough diamond, we haven't had his type of player for a long, long time. Yes, a dirty bastard prepared to kick the shit out of people. That's where we are now.

You can't help being quietly impressed with Harrison either, that blog about the new signings is insightful and very good, plus the hard work he's clearly putting in to sign the right type of players and get the squad in place for pre season is encouraging.

He says the right things but many managers do, it's as if they get given a book of clichés when they get their first job.
One small thing about the NL is during televised games the manager gets interviewed during the game. It's different I suppose but you get a better insight into their thinking.

The key thing he said was more players on the way next week.

And the videos on the os were a pleasant improvement too. Proper descriptions of their styles and strengths as well.

In fairness I thought Harrison avoided a lot of horrible clichés that many managers use and ultimately it reeks of bull.

I thought his blog was insightful and showed a side to his skills and professionalism as a manager.

Without doubt a very good day for Pools and there haven't been many that have made me happier in recent times.

Hats Off to all concerned and praise where its due.!!

Wholeheartedly agree with PJ on the above.
Now we need to remove the negativity we have ALL been feeling, And move forward with optimism.
People at the club seem to be working extremely hard and deserve credit.

And we all should now realise that these are the gaffers signings.
And we can now see his determination to get things done.

Come on PJ rally the troops.

Agree totally ! As long at that's the only player under 6ft he signs though.

Agreeing with everything everyone is saying on this thread, even myself. Onwards and upwards.

Excellent effort from Harrison. Reading the blog, he clearly has put the effort in and knows what he wants within the budget available.

I suspect from the signings there are still more to leave, Featherstone perhaps. Also the 3 players with contract offers don't seem too keen to sign their revised contracts. But at least we should have a team that can manage the top half of the National League but need Amond to stay or similar replacement(s) along with some defenders to be competitibe?

I am reasonably happy with business so far, and applaud Craig's work ethic, but we really need to get a couple of decent centre-half's on the books as a priority, preferably a big nasty one and a nippy mobile sweeper. Also a really good full-back too.

On the plus side, the squad is starting to take shape, the new Manager is stamping his authority, by signing HIS players, with the backing of the Board.

On the negative side, I was hoping this thread was about Dominos offers!!!!!
