Back in the days when they bothered with such things and the only airbrushing was to hide the pink.

A mate of mine once shared a flat with a bloke (struggling writer) who made his living by writing the "Readers Erotic Confessions" for a few magazines.

When I was a student I shared a couple of digs with a gadgie from Yeovil we nicknamed 'Caveman'. He was a prodigious purchaser of pornography, which accelerated when we moved near to a shop called 'Supermags'.

He kept it all in a box in the bog, and when we moved out of one gaffe I was tasked with collecting it. Had to put it all in 2 black bags which I hauled over each shoulder.

In amongst it was all the usual Razzle, Fiesta, Escort, Club, Mayfair etc, but there were also some more specialist titles such as 40 Plus, Big and Fat, and the one that we used to leave on the coffee table when parents were visiting - Derriere. This is tame by today's standards, but was all about back door pleasure, full of close up pictures of lasses pulling their arse cheeks open.

I always liked the hairy birds, an unkempt quim was a challenge and the surprise of finding bits of food or jewellry was a treat.

As an apprentice I remember a group of other apprentices getting quite worked up looking at a certain page in an up market tit mag. After looking at what they were looking at, it turned out they were ignoring the nudes and getting fairly a roused by a gleaming carburettor. Oh dear.
