I have bought today what I hope to be the last time I buy the NLP to read about the Imps. I thought it was worth letting you chaps know, there is for an outsider an insightful double spread on your club. I'm guessing some of you won't like parts of the article, but I found it interesting. The really interesting part is, it does hint quite strongly Gary Brabin (who is currently out of work as manager) could be your next manager. A good none league manager with lots of contacts at NL level and knows the scene well, if a bit of a nearly man.

Most supermarkets or news agents stock it. I get mine from a Sainsbury's Local.

I'd definitely be whelmed by Brabin becoming manager.

Be fourth scouser in a row then if he is.

His record with Tranmere is the one that would concern me

As was his pitch side behaviour. A thug as a player and as a manager.

I'd rather a "thug" than someone who doesn't give a fuck like Jones.

Something you will need to get used in the NL, at least you will be spared Paul "Buster Bloodvessel" Doswell, unless he pops up somewhere else, but you will have the joys of Chris Kinnear, Paul "The Brand" Cox and a few others in the same mould of which in my mind at least Brabin does not fall into. You'll be also be spared Mark "David Brent" Cooper with his amazing man mangement skills and hilarous interviews.

It's a pretty fair assessment

I was watching that orient video yday n the fans were really really angry.

It made me think, where was our anger? Why weren't we as mad?

Because we've been drip fed this since we got promoted back to League One.. An end of season with relegation was the norm we've just accepted the inevitable this year.

Pretty accurate article, and yes I agree we have just been pummelled into submission, we all saw this coming just unable to predict when.

Got lots of mates who are Lincoln fans (its been difficult to live in a City whose club is taking our league position) and I asked a die hard Imp about how we can do what they did next season. He is convinced we need somebody who knows the division first hand. Sounds like Brabin to me. He also said there IS scope to play more quick skilful players in the division but better to mix it up with a good handful of lads who can handle themselves. Apparently Wrexham have tried the 'team full of thugs' approach and it didn't work.

I'm not sure about Wrexham being a team of thugs, Barrow yes.

Those of you think that there is of lack of skill in NL, I suggest you watch the review the 16/17 NL season that is curently on heavy rotation on BT Sports.

Perhaps it was a previous season for Wrexham. Nobody thinks there is a lack of skill in NL, just the presence of cloggers.

Only thugs give a fuck? That's up there with the Welsh and their passion!

The situations are very different. The Orient owner has screwed the club over purely out of spite.

Plus I think the Barnet game was the most toxic atmosphere I have ever been involved in at a Pools game, I'm not sure how you can get much more angry than that. Maybe some of it was misdirected towards players and more should have been aimed at the gutless little worm sat in the directors box with his bodyguard but it was angry all the same.
