Himself as manager?

Two characters that evidence suggests clubs are better off avoiding. That said it's hard to turn down £40k at that level.

Did Raj screw them over intentionally or was he just a local businessman out of his depth?

It's like the old saying, "Once bitten, twice as likely to do the same thing again."

The news has been coming for a few months now (even though the echo 'exclusively' announced it yesterday). When I was reading about it a while ago, their fans seemed rather split on him. Some saying he was a grade A 'lovely lovely person', and some saying the damage was already done and he simply had no choice.

What's Berge Larsen doing nowadays? Just read on the reliable Wikipedia that he has a net worth of $158 million, and is getting a large payout after being wrongly investigated for 10 years.

Does Ken still have his number!?

5 years of constant fund raising does wear you out. Not advocating allowing him back in but I'm prepared to hear him out, especially regarding what happened last time.
Heard the rumour a few weeks back, was hoping it was chinese whispers but its not. McLaren, Hodgson and Pallister allegedly the other parties to the bid.

I'm sorry but to even give him more than 10 seconds of time reaks of desperation.

Because of the situation of that ground you do need investment by the sound of things but surely not from someone like him?

I think what the Darlo fans have gone through over 5 years or so is worth reflecting on. Volunteer run, out of town matches, constant fundraising. Absolutely commendable.

Could we be facing the same issues if administration occurs?

I agree 100%, hopefully never quite as challenging for us as long we have control over the Vic.

The ground is also a big mouth to feed, upkeep and associated costs.
Although its like comparing chalk and cheese, we knew we couldn't afford to stay at the arena when we were relegated down the leagues.
Key thing for Pools is to avoid administration as the National League run a very tight ship in that regard.

Raj has walked away and blamed some nasty keyboard warriors.

Interesting developments over there.

Also haven't we been telling them how much of a thick arsehole Martin Gray is for years? What a prick. Reading what has happened I'd be sacking the bloke.

Do you think the treacherous boss eyed simpleton contacted messrs Houghton and Reynolds before Raj said he's part with £40,000?
