I agree with Kennedy that Pools would have scraped home in about 20th place if Hignett had been kept on.

He wasn't sacked because of poor results, but because he wouldn't keep shtum about the main reason for the poor results - that the club was in deep financial trouble and players were being sold for a short-term fix.

Well he was certainly right about this...

We heard a lot from previous owners about the Financial Fair Play rules and its restrictions. What approach will you be taking regarding FFP to overcome these restrictions and increase investment in to the Club?

FFP is very restrictive and, to be controversial here, rightly so as it protects clubs like HUFC from being reliant on a money man and over-spending then getting into serious financial difficulties. Our approach is to stay within the guidelines – it’s something that has to be abided by.
