Looking at the leagues and seeing how many teams have had a spell in the Conference. If we can ride the financial shit out, hopefully we can become another. In my lifetime preferably!

Don't have to worry about what that fat loon Harvey does with the Tinpot Trophy...

Got a derby game back...

Can call it an FA Cup run if we get to the Third Round...

Being brought up in Hartlepool I learned one thing... to fight for everything you want.

The north east breeds folk with steel in their blood, it can be a hard place, but win a friend in Hartlepool, you've made a friend for life.

Time to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and start again. Never Say die? Well if that's what we truly believe the time starts now. Let's get behind the trust, get behind the lads, gets these pricks out of our club and win the league next season

Fuck Guiseley, fuck chester, fuck Wrexham.

WE ARE HARTLEPOOL.

my crumb of comfort is with Portsmouth winning the league (cheers Pools!) tomorrow I will be £500 better off if Brighton win the league, or 2k better off if Newcastle do.

a small crumb of comfort on a very strange day

The only consolation for me right now is that today has reinforced more than ever that what we have is a special club which has to be saved from the parasites who are intent on bleeding it dry (all of them, not just Coxall).

I couldn't be there today (health issues) and I'm not even from the town, I have my dad to 'thank' for making it his mission to raise his daughter as a Pools fan despite the more obvious appeal of my local teams.

But I feel sick at what's been allowed to happen here so how the rest of you who go week in week out are feeling right now I can't imagine.

I cried over football for the first time today. Mainly for my dad who's been a fan for the best part of 60 years and people like him. He's had to go abroad to look after a sick relative and I so wanted to be able to text him and tell him the impossible had happened. For a short time I was going to be able to do that and well, we know the rest....

So my crumb of comfort is that however hard things are going to get, it's more than worth fighting for. There doesn't seem a lot of hope right now but Doncaster are a perfect example of a team who went out of the league in an even worse state than what's going on behind the scenes at Pools ( there's another thread on this) and they're back in league one now with a great (local) owner/chairman, having got rid of the one who tried to burn the ground down for insurance money.

Oh and the other crumb of comfort is that Donny didn't win the league - I have to work with two of their fans come Monday...
