This team was assembled by Craig Hignet simple. Dave Jones came in and tried to pick up the pieces , the side was not performing then as is the same now.
We have not had a decent forward line since the beginning of the season, the weakest Midfield in the league and a back four made up of whats left available from the squad

Lets be real we have a team full of Non league players who do not deserve to be professional footballers and should never dare to call themselves such.
This has got to be probably the weakest side in History of the football club I am not going to slag players off individually but not one player with the exception of Nathan Thomas would be capable of playing any higher than this level.
Nearly all these players are NON league quality and have NO passion, No Aggresion, No Desire or will to Win, i you cannot show in a game against Leyton Orient when it means so much you have FA

Jones has tried to organise a piss poor squad to try to survive in the league but the bloke isnt a Magician and once those players cross the line with the instructions and tactics they have trained to employ all week and fail to produce then theres FA jones can do, simply we havent got a squad decent enough to make changes.

I suspect Jones has known this from day one but what would you expect him to say, he obviously thought he could get enough out of the players to survive but this has not been the case - This Team IS Full of Amateurs.

We must now rely/Pray on Newport not to win any of there remaing games to stay up I should think.

I have managed supermarkets for 25 years with teams of 250 people, you get sent to a store because it is underperfoming, you can`t replace the team, you have to find a way to get the team to pull together, strengths and weaknesses, planning, training the staff to achieve a clear set of goals.

It doesn`t matter if he didn`t pick the team, it is up to him to mould what he has and identify a strategy to obtain the best of what he has, that is what a good manager does, it comes from the top, if he is shit then they will alsp be less than they can be.

And don`t give me that football is different, prima donnas are everywhere, not all earning as much though!

Jones is primarily a coach. Shock Horror it is his job to coach ALL players not just players he buys.

Higgnet's points per game ratio was far better. If he'd stayed we might have been safe by now.

He is the manager, from what I gather the other two do the coaching.

It's not his fault his weak and unbalanced the the squad was he inherited but he's surely got to help himself and pick players in preferred positions where they will be most effective. This thing of continuously swapping the attacking minded players is baffling everyone I think. Our biggest threat is Thomas, he is an out and out left winger he's got to play the majority of the game there. He's started Deverdics in the centre of midfield again today and not his preferred position, I reckon he's played less than 1 full game playing off the striker since he signed. It would be actually interesting to see if he's any good. We'll probably be seeing him at left back again next week now.

The formations he's playing now could work if he puts players in the right positions.

Sam Collins in just one game " MANAGED" to get these players to perform for 90 minutes for the first time in three years then Jones takes over and ............ Get him fuckin back ....Please!!!!!

People may well have their opinions regarding the manager and owners and could be right but I feel offshore poolie is absolutely right about the players.

I was not there so cannot comment but I have no doubt woods and Oates would give their all but they are simply not good enough. Surely Chip you must agree this is possibly the poorest squad you have seen, physically and mentally weak.

I maintain there are some decent players but there is no leader. The manager has to instil confidence and belief into the players and has so far failed miserably in this respect.
