I thought he had a better game defensively at least than he's had recently that's not saying much like! He needs using in midfield for me he's not really played well at full back right or left for us since he signed he looked a good centre back and decent holding centre mid to me when he first signed, surely it's not rocket science to play players in their best positions? Mind Richardson getting injured put an end to that theory.

I've said it all season but I don't think Deverdics has started a game as the the central atracking midfielder off the striker. It's where he plays he went back to Dover for a month (probably, very sadly, a better team than us right now, and he plays every minute in his proper position) Thomas spent most of the game playing there yesterday even though I thought he had a decent game and came within a coat of varnish of scoring an unbelievably good winner surely he's better on the left wing? Put him there with more space and he will skin fourth division right backs every time. The daft thing is Allessandra had been scoring playing in that position recently and now he's swapping flanks with Oates all game. Oates scored yesterday but he hopeless as a wide man but has looked useful as a striker in a front two at times.

That's just a throwaway nonsense comment he's managed lots of games at a higher level with a good deal of success he's clearly not tactically clueless I'd imagine he's forgotten more about football management than you know. I thinks it's more a danger of him over complicating things, take the attacking players on Friday Amond, Alessandra, Oates and Thomas they all at some point rotated and the likes of Thomas didn't spend enough time on the left as a result. Oates looks pretty awful out wide but is a handful up front. We have a limited squad who are mentally weak (the penalty felt marriage) surely we're better picking players in preferred positions? At the end of the day though it's a tough, tough job Mourinho would struggle with this lot right now.

He doesn't make subs, even though himself has moaned about fitness...that's simply down to manager.

He comes out with some of the same types of comments that likes of hignett and before him cooper got slaughtered for. He's been out the game for a while before asking this job and I personally think it's showing; that's my opinion which I am entitled to.

The comment about him forgetting more than I know is daft, didn't say I would do this or that but of Richardson hadn't got injured on Monday would we of made a single sub? Fresh legs is a start when the squad is a strong you say mentally weak.

Thought woods was poor on Friday and could of easily swapped him for Hawkins after we scored to try and maintain some momentum cos let's face it, although we were shit, Carlisle weren't much better

That's nothing to do with tactics is it, he just doesn't rate what what is on the bench which is his prerogative I suppose I sure I'd have made the same sub but it's pretty obvious he doesn't rate Hawkins. To be fair he has had a massively disappointing season.

It's a sign of how bad people think our current starting players are if they think that Hawkins is the answer to improve things.

Have we seriously got even one central midfielder who everybody would be upset if they got released in the summer whichever league we are in?

And yet he was a disgrace today. I've never seen a player go head to head with a ref. Awful. Chase him out of the club

Was a very good way of ensuring he didnt have to suffer playing any part in the last 3 games. I bet he wouldnt be the only one that didnt fancy it.

Do you actually think this stuff you are saying or are you purposely being a contrarian arse?

Ah right. The way it has been described I thought he had raped the ref.

He went head to head with the ref (ie was in his face). Was appalling.

I don't think he can.

The referee deemed the offence only to be a second yellow and you can't take retrospective action on two yellows or at all when the referee has seen and dealt with the incident as it was millimetres from his face he probably saw it. Just a one game ban which is by the sound of things quite fortunate on his part.

Looks like Donnelly showed more aggression in the 90th minute than he did in the previous 89!!!!!

It's his second red card of the season so I think that means an additional game onto his suspension

According to the Mail tonight, Pools are going to have to brace themselves for his absence n Saturday. In view of his recent form we'd need to brace ourselves if he was playing.

magnay left back, richardson right back. Two lads with a bit of fight. I'd put bates and walker centre halves.

Midfield of Thomas, Hawkins, Featherstone/woods and Allesandra (with a rocket up his arse)

Podge and Oates up top.
