For me the next two games are the two opponents you'd pick from anyone in the League if you desperately need 6 points. Since November Carlisle have been awful as bad as anyone in the League I have read Carlisle fans saying that they are bottom six team and that they are already worried about next season. Then obviously Orient are a team full of kids.

If we win Friday then we could be just about safe by 5pm Easter Monday, if we don't then Orient becomes scary and full of pressure which could see us come unstuck.

So I make Friday our biggest game of the season to date, certainly must not lose but a win would go a long way do getting out of this, for me if we win Friday we'll win on Monday as well.

I agree with PJ the Carlisle game is end of season defining, how we perform will determine the remainder of the season. The players performances will tell me whether they have the bottle for a fight from there on in.

A result of some sorts is essential but I would take 1 point Friday (purely because they are a bogey team) and 3 against Orient.

Anything less than 4 points and I think we are down.!!!

I'm over The Lakes on holiday, bloke who runs the pub in the village we are staying is a Carlisle fan...I can hardly wait...

As Manager of Carlisle haven't played football manager for a few weeks. first match when I switched on Pools 1 v Carlisle 0, on mt game Carlisle are 6th , Pools 13th- spookerly enough the game date was April 14th 2017- Lewis Alessandra scored.

A £5 on that tomorrow! and hope that turns out to be the result!

That is properly spooky as fook that I'd be getting in touch with Derek Acorah.

It's as if for the first season on the game they use the actual fixtures for that season or something.

Would like to see Magnay & Bates back in the defence and Walker back in midfield to bolster the backbone of the team - might give us a fighting chance - but other than that can only see a Carlisle win with the current team - if Ihbre plays he will bully the shit out of harrison & walker

I wouldn't be using Walker to bolster the midfield, I think he's shown enough potential in the last few weeks to suggest he's a centre back now. He's get more time on the ball and can pick passes you don't get that in midfield in League two. From what I've heard I can't see Bates featuring without an injury. I'd be torn between two teams to be honest but would probably be conservative and pick the second one.

I like the look of that second team PJ.

Most top teams seem to employ the 2 holding midfielders and I would like to see Deverdicks play in his best position behind Amond.

Any bunkerites remember Boxing Day 1994 Pools 1 Carlisle 5 Skedd? The Millhouse taken over by Cumbrians and Pools shite and outplayed with Carlisle top. Humiliated that day but sweet revenge at the end of the season on 17 April 1995 - Carlise 0 Pools 1 Houchen. If my memory serves me right the Cumbrians needed to win to be champions but alas, they didn't how sad and never mind. I think they may have lost the last 3 home games but were still champions. (Somebody on here will tell me if I'm wrong). As for today? Well I reckon that Newport are nailed on to beat Yeovil now that they have us in their sights and Pools will be 1-1 scorer Featherweight last minute sparking pitch invasion at Rink End and chew. Disgrunted Pools fans heading away towards Mill House and home. Don't ya just love Carlisle games.

Not looking good, Newport are battering Yeovil too. Goal difference is even, if they score we're in the bottom two.

Given how Newport are doing I'm starting to think our best bet is for Cheltenham to drop past us but we'll have to beat somebody for that to happen.

Next game we are away at Leyton and Newport are away at Plymouth. Should have the better chance!!

Problem is, Orient need to win to avoid being relegated - there could be just enough residual pride there that they will at least go down fighting.... two critical games, both away, that we can't afford to lose and really could do with winning, home to Barnet where we've got to hope they don't really turn up, then finishing off against the top team in the division.... meanwhile Newport will feel like they can beat anyone at the moment, I reckon we've got to get ahead of Cheltenham to be safe....

Well at least magnay is back and our right hand side looked balanced and jones carnt taken the credit it was down to injury.

Shite game but hugely important point. Newport will be seriously tested in the next 2 games, I'd be surprised if they picked up more than a point. It's time to widen that gap and drag Yeovil and Cheltenham right in it.

Other teams are just to big and strong. Every corner was panick stations and they could have had at least three goals with a bit of luck from them. We are desperate for a big commanding central defender as there is only Harrison who attacks the ball. I wonder has the gloss gone off Walker when he comes up against big physical strikers.
