Don't forget the basketball up the jumper. An essential accessory.

You heard it here first. They done a dry run at Cambridge and apparently it went well.

I am not going to get involved in this debate except to say:

I will lose all respect for the FDE if they ever dress like this. It would be just wrong on so many levels.

The smurfs weekend was a cracking weekend, We were at a gig the night before in Blackpool, got the train to London on the Saturday morning and had a brilliant day out.

Yup, Penguins at Crawley one of mine too.

We had nowt to play for, like. This year could be VERY different and if there's anything riding on it I'd rather go as a Pools Supporter and try to ensure we get what's needed. I have a funny feeling we MAY need points...

Is that a hint Mr ElvisC? Are the FDE going as Theresa May?

I can't fucking go, gutted :(

The lad has a game for the county against Spen Valley (near Leeds) so no way we could get there in time.

Fuck.

Same reason I missed Morecambe today as he was at Mansfield.

Shouldn't complain really cos some of the football is quality.

Never quite understand the animosity towards the fancy dress from a few on here. It's a personal choice that often results in a good day out for all involved and a decent bit of press for the club and the town. No one is forced, or even asked, to do it. If people don't fancy it then fair enough but don't quite understand why there are digs aimed at those who organise and participate in it.

Personally I've never been involved in one, but I can see only positives from it. I can understand why people would want to do it and also why people wouldn't, but I can never understand why anyone who have an issues with anyone's choice either way.

Good Post Chrissy,

Even down here in Cornwall I've had folk who know my Poolie connection come up to me and say saw your lads dressed up as Smurfs etc and say good on them. Never heard it said about any bigger or indeed any other club. Let's have something to cheer us up for goodness sakes as there is precious little else.

Apart from Jeff Stelling, it is the most positive association with the club there is. I won't be going to Cheltenham in fancy dress, but those that are won't bother me in the slightest.

Why not give people the chance to procure outfits in plenty of time though, I appreciate that one person does all the organisation but how does that stop him from letting people know, surely the more that go in matching outfits the better or am I missing something sctatchinghead

It's ok if you're celebrating the end of the season, but there's an awful inevitability about the way our season is going. Hope I'm wrong.
