Rodney missed a sitter, he couldn't score if the goal was covered in pubic hair!

2 yards out with just keeper to beat and he kicks straight to the keeper. Can see why he is kept away from 1st team .

1st half wasnt too bad, both sides as bad as each other but we have no one who can shoot on target. Josh hawkes ended the half badly i thought after an ok start. Connor Smith playing ok. Magnay putting in a shift but other than that meh

Not content with a weekly fix the sad middle aged men found some younger players to mercilessly slaughter on a weekday afternoon in an empty stadium to help fill the gaping void that is life.

I'm no middle aged man thank you very much and it's hardly slaughterig then, rather giving an opinion. If you don't like it, don't read it :)

Yes calling an 18 year old a 'Donkey' is generally considered quite constructive

A lot has been said about the signing of Rodney and the circumstances around it but one thing for certain is it's not his fault.

Rooney is 'pants' now as well. He's barely had a chance really, he struggled in the game he started up front on his own the other week that is true, and he had a bit of a mare on Saturday when he came on but it's very difficult for a young lad to make an impact on loan in the Football League with very limited game time. You probably try too hard when you get 10 minutes here and 15 minutes there. We certainly haven't seen enough of him to make any sort of fair judgement.

How will he know if he will like it until he has read it? To be fair PJ doesn't like much.

Whilst i agree with you i also disagree :) i dunno how many times you've seen Rooney play but the times i have he has not appeared to have improved or shown anything as to why he was brought here.

Add for Rodney, if he missed a sitter like the one he did earlier on a 1st team match day imagine the names he would be called are far worse :) he really is a poor player i can see no redeeming features in his game at all. Even at this level at a reserve game

Score is 0:0

How long did Rodney sign for. All I can find is that he signed a permanent contract.

UKP gave a good account of the game because he was there and saw it, the front two are awful at any level, Rooney should have scored 4 and Rodders 2, don`t know why Blackford was on the bench when them 2 were on the pitch, we improved when he came on with 15 minutes left and he put in several telling balls, had the right back in knots.

Poor mistake for their goal, I won`t say who it was in case PJ starts chastising me, you know, middle aged with fuck all to do but torment young players

maybe cos I was on my way home and then I would comment when I came back online but then saw saw your insightful words so thought fck it, why bother?

anyway, as I was going to post when I came back online, pools where the better side today by far and deserved a win so to concede the silly goal was galling but to pull one back so quick was a great effort, especially by rooney who had a couple of great chances. but it's the same story, great chances but doesn't convert them, except he did today so maybe some confidence for when he comes on on sub on saturday

and as for support, dont knock my support 'mate' - I'm there home and away and reserve games (when I can) so my support can't be questioned - maybe my judgement can of players, but then so can all of ours :)

You cannot say players played well if they didn't , to be fair neither Rodney or rooney looked bothered , if you where trying for a the first team squad you would bust a gut sadly not , yes Rooney scored but missed sitters

The reserves were pretty solid but had very little up front. We were the better team and as the game went on had a load of chances but couldn't put them away, particularly Rooney. I have to agree about Rodney, safe to say it wasn't his finest hour.

On a more positive note, Hawkes looked to spray the ball about although he faded as the game went on. Having seen Pollock when he was on trial at the end of last season compared to now he looks to have improved a lot. Orrell looked bright when on the ball but didn't see enough of it. As for Blackford, they couldn't live with him once he came on.

I can't help feeling too much is being made of a reserve game. Wonder if any other club has fans arguing over reserve matches. Is that passion like what Wales have?

People were not arguing before #PJstartanargumentinanemptyroom#alwaysfuckingright started with his usual bollox, we paid our money and gave our opinion, if i want to say somebody is pants I will.

This.

I just don't like seeing people slaughter young players especially at meaningless reserve team matches on a Wednesday afternoon. I went into detail with the poster and we agreed to disagree. We'll ignore the oaf.

It makes me laugh of forums when people get pulled up for 'always thinking they are right' Who posts stuff that they think or know is wrong? I mean I was just saying this the other day when I said I knew Brad Waller would come good at centre back as he's already got 40 caps for England there.

Maybe if he learns how to control the ball he might get a chance at League football. He has pace and energy but very little else.

Done Mackay ok at whatever level he was banging them in but it dont cut it at League level.
