If it's Donelly then who is FB?
What a state to get the squad in!

Fryer, Richardson, Harrison, Donnelly, Featherstone, Hawkins, Woods, Thomas, Alessandra, Oates, Amond
Subs: Bartlett, Martin, Deverdics, Hawkes, Orrell, Rooney

I'm guessing Hawkins at full back, maybe Woods, definitely not Featherstone since he's never made a tackle. It's an embarrassment that the entire squad has one CB. 6 subs again unless one of them is called Subs:

Fuck me. Just before finding out the starting 11 I was watching us warm up and waiting for bates or walker to come out....still waiting.

This could be fucking embarrassing.

Just hoping Thomas is in the mood because I reckon we'll need at least 4 to win.

Donnelly is a centre back anyway isn't he? Still amazing how we have let the defensive options get this low.

Not sure how we'd play 3 at the back Richardson is more of an attacking option at full back so struggle to see him playing centre back.

On the positive side Darren Deadman is ref...

About time we utilised Featherstone's height at the back. Ok, I'm joking but at least if the ball gets knocked over the top we can rely on his pace to cover.

To be fair we've already lasted longer than I expected!

At 58 I could have helped out better than a few of them, that pitch was a tatty field though.

He's a child, a little kid. He's a good footballer yes but physically he's nowhere near ready to play in League Two. Of all of the kid signings he's best but still for now and where we are, pretty useless.

Seemed a strange decision for me playing Featherstone at centre half, you not only have a guy asked to play completely out of position, it also takes him out of a position where he has played well of late.

Not that it makes much difference, it was an away game so we were beat before we even started.

Richardson is about 5'10, Martin is tiny it's not really down to age in this instance. Both look like good footballers to me but we are down to the bare bones. I can see why the manager wouldn't play Martin away from home on shit pitch where it's probably going to boil down to scrapping. Featherstone has played in that position in every away game that we've lost, who else is forming our back four, it's a fucking miracle we have gone 5 unbeaten at home.

You don't like Dave Jones do you Chip?

He was found wanting a few times today, he can`t head for shit but he is what we have so hey ho!

They are all going to found wanting at certain times but I honestly don't think you can knock the players or management in recent weeks. For me squad wise this is as weak as we've been for about 20-25 years. It's Sunday morning stuff to have one fit centre back, the players are putting a shift in the management are trying to pick a team from the bare bones we have left.

The ultimate irony is that the title of this thread is 'Walker out' which a couple of months ago would have been laughed out of Town only a few weeks a ago a certain poster in response to me said he wasn't a footballer, had no first touch, was lazy and overweight. Now it's considered a massive blow that he's injured.

This whole 'I told you so' attitude fans have with Walker is a bit boring to say the least.

Not one person who said he had a future could of done so with him playing centre back and doing it well being the reason. As a midfielder he's been piss poor in nearly every game he's played since his break through season. Albeit our full midfield is piss poor, not just him

Could nearny have not done a job? Pollock?

They must be well poor to not even be making a 6 man bench.

It makes the decision to sign 14 strikers on loan in January, whilst selling 2 defenders and loaning one out, the worst business the club has done since Baldwin on deadline day.

Dave jones is saying all the right things in the papers, im liking what he's saying, but after spells at Cardiff and Southampton he must be tearing his hair out that he has 1 fit centre back.

After 2 good home wins it halts our momentum a bit.

As for any told you say comments, we know that a few weeks ago he'd have had few supporters defending him. He's been played in a new role in the team and slotted in.
Come to think of it, didn't he play as a central defender at a previous club?

How much scope will he have to bring players in? We must assume there are players out of contract in the summer and that they are on substantial wages, substantial enough to get replacements in I mean. If not why will summer be any different to the January window?
I've got a feeling most signings this summer will be kids, which may not be a bad thing if they're good enough. As long as it's the manager signing them rather than whoever signed all these phantom young players we've had on the books at various points this season.

Regarding Jones position, he's like a bloke taking part in formula one who finds out he's driving a milk float.... with a flat battery and two punctures.

You've took that personally pj, when it's aimed the general selection of people who love to take the I told you so approach.

1 thing I will applaud is any fan who wants to spend money travelling to away games, when we know what is inevitably going to happen. Unsure on how many games he's played but ameobi had not scored for Notts county before yesterday, we sure know how to end these type of shit records

Without naming players because we all have our own opinions the bottom line is the team as a whole is weak both phyisically and mentally. Every free kick and corner is a heart in the mouth job we only have one player, Harrison, who can attack a ball in the air.

Hawkins is nearly 24yrs old and has never been able to hold down a regular place in what is probably the poorest midfield for many years and you think we could get money for him?

Yes I have misread it. I think we would struggle to get anything for the others however after Toto and Carroll who knows.(They were however transferred during the season whilst I would presume these would be just released)

Personally I believe Jones,Bates and Paynter are absolute bankers to be released along with Richards and Pollock and the others you mention along with Green will be sweating whether they get contracts.

The retained list from last season shows we took options on quite a few that will free agents come May.

Magnay seems to have been a bit of an injury liability since signing, but you know if he left he'd probably play 50 odd games for somebody next season!

Bates had the initial extension but later signed a new deal: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36345122

Dunno how true but it was apparently a two-year deal (basically Hignett helping out a mate, after Ronnie gave him a reduced one year deal), although that could be one year plus the one year extension option.

I havent seen enough to comment on individual players but it does amaze me just how players people would keep in what by the league table is one of the worst squads in the country.

Cant imagine anyone would be that upset if the entire squad was released.

Two seasons ago Leicester struggled against relegation. I know it's an extreme example but while there is undoubtedly some players stealing a wage there's a few worth keeping. Bates and Jones surely have to go, how can a club struggling to pay the bills justify paying their wages?
