I stand corrected if wrong and apologise in advance but i believe Pools have only won twice at Meadow Lane since playing Notts County and certainly since 1968. Two great and for me unexpected but two welcome home victories. However, next week sees what they are really made of. Possibly the most important match of the season along with The O's at Easter. So which Pools team will turn up next Saturday? A draw would be great a win dreamland. Looking at what the other bottom rival fans are saying today it would seem that Leyton Orient put out a team of "11 year olds" and took Newport County to the cleaners and on Graham Westley's 49th birthday! He got abuse as well. The O's fans seem to think Notts County will implode under Nolan at some point and of course they all have that Italian/HMRC nonsense to contend with. So come on Pools a win next Saturday and no need to invest in a garage AA map for 2018.

Just so we can identify each other for a pint, perhaps it would be useful if we co-ordinate which newspapers we use to hide our identities? You could use The Guardian and I'll use the Daily Sport?

See you there.

Guaranteed to lose. Don't think I've seen us lose as many times at any other ground apart from the Vic.

Did see us win once there though, when Monky was still on loan. Seems like aeons ago.

So come on bunkerites what's up? No optimistic or negative match predictions which are usual and long before the day before a game. OK I'll kick it off. Pools to win a dour encounter 1-0 and don't care who the scorer is.

From Notts County fans website:
Allardyce's tash

"Hartlepool are a funny team, you think we will wipe the floor with them but they dominate instead. This year it will be a stale game I bet."

Shit 1-0 defeat. The scoreline always flatters them down here.

If will finish 1-1, which wouldn't be the worst result in the world. Be about 250 in the away end.

I agree, I'd be more than happy with a draw to keep the unbeaten run going. That said we're also scoring goals lately so I'm quietly confident.

After seeing our starting lineup I'm so glad we made the trip. Guaranteed goal fest.

Notts co 6-7 pools

Thomas and Amond hat tricks and a Rooney winner from the bench
