Good goalkeeping display and a cheeky goal on the break from Thomas to secure a point against the run of play. 1-1, 3,198.

Just realised that I copied the crowd from Muttley. I'll share the large cash prize if I'm right.

If we start the first half like we did against Crewe we are fooked, better start though and I will take a point all day long.

Pools 1 Exeter 1

I've taken us at 3/1 so fancy us with a 3-1 win. Amond, Rooney and Thomas.

Can't see any reason why we can't play like we did for 45 mins on Tuesday, I'm going 2-1 win.

Allessandra and Oates.

3232, 145 from Exeter.

13/2 for Pools to win BTTS seems a good price, Exeter only failed to score once so far this year and we've only had 2 clean sheets this year.

In our last 11 meetings at home to Exeter we won 7 and drew 1, I actually thought it would be better than that. Always a minimum of 2 goals an all.

Will go with Pools win at 16/5 and pools to win with both teams to score at 7/1.

You just reminded me of the Tony Pullis chant I heard. "He wears the club shop..."

As ever 2-1 to pools. Thomas and Allesandinho.

Definitely not fancying us to get anything and we could end up getting a bit of a pasting. I'm just hoping they are sick of travelling as they were away midweek I think...

Pools 0-3 Exeter

I really don't get that, we are playing Exeter this division is shit. We played Plymouth the other week who are 2nd and had just stuffed Exeter and they were bang average we played Stevanage a few weeks before who only have two points less than Exeter who and they were lucky to get nil against us.

We can compete with anyone at home which says more about how crap the division is than us but we can all the same.

We're obviously going to get a pasting now I've posted this but I honestly fancy us to get something tomorrow, as I say we are only playing fooking Exeter.

They've only lost one of the last 17, drawn 5 and won the rest.....they're also the best away team in the division.

I agree that there is very little between all the sides in our division and a lot of results are down to luck, mistakes, whatever and not always a huge amount to do with one side outclassing the other.

Just to contradict myself, you can't really go by past results though lol

Stevenage 6-1 Pools
Pools 2-0 Stevenage

6 home wins 5 defeats
First time in 6 season we won more than we lost.
The home sickness is getting cured slowly but surely.

Excellent attendance today.

Maybe a league derby with Gateshead next season who are bang on form!

Once we get a bit of confidence we fly. Allessandra is a prime example of it. He's found an end product the past couple of games and looks a world beater.

For Exeter, one of them led straight to us running up the other end and scoring. Was brilliant.

Aye looked blatant at the time but he did go down easy which may have counted against him. Donnelly went through a strange 10 minute spell in 2nd half where he seemed to lose the plot or give up. Not sure what went on but sorted himself out.

Oates effort is sublime, looked a lot better when moved central and a well deserved standing ovation. Brilliant play for the 2nd.

Can't fault any of them again.

How did the central pairing of Harrison and Walker play, as well as the result would suggest?

somehow, magically, they seem to be a very, very good pairing. I don't quite understand how, but it's working...very, very well.

I thought it looked like a penalty but looking at the highlights it would have been very soft to give it

Its a very pleasant bonus. Three and a half games now, glad to hear its working misterb2001.

Didn't look like a penalty to me but I was at the other end of the pitch....and to then see Oates continue his run when he was being pulled (plenty of other players would've gone down and taken the free kick) back was quality.

All three goals were great finishes and I would struggle to pick my favourite.

We looked a completely different team in the second half and I absolutely didn't see that performace coming. I thought we were in for another frustrating afternoon. We spent the first half playing at a pedestrian pace allowing them to get men behind the ball whilst we tried to play around them down the wings but without any movement in front of the ball carrier there were just no options. When Thomas got his first touch and skinned their full back like he wasn't there I thought we were in for a bit of a show from Thomas but after that he had Thomas in his pocket and they looked really dangerous down our left...their no.11 had a good game.

Without wanting to be negative especially as I'm chuffed to fook with the win but Donnelly had a poor game especially when he went to meet that high ball and completely misjudged it...and I mean completely. Nowhere near it. Was a bit embarrassed for the lad. I wouldn't even expect to see that on a Sunday. Anyway, we won and I probably sound like a twat (yeah, yeah, no change there then).

Like someone said earlier, it was like a switch was flicked confidence-wise after the first goal and we looked very good after that. And the goals! :)

Oates was absolutely done in with about 15 left....especially after he laid the ball out to Alessandra then ran like he was being chased by a rabid dog to get in the box to get on the end of a return ball only for Alessandra to shoot himself lol, Oates was ever so slightly miffed.

16 points off the play offs.

Hignett was right.

Wembley here we come.

Can't say I saw either of those.

Saw a couple of their players taking a soft dive and getting nowt about 10 yards in front of where we were sat. Could've looked a bit like fouls to any nervy folk on the other side or far end of the ground I suppose but a million miles away from stonewall penalties.

Opinions or vantage points.

I was on the Clarence Road side today not far from opposite of you and right next to where their blokes took a bit of a tumble. Certainly would've been disappointed to see either of them given.

Crucial three points that was the way the other results went. Especially with 2 tough away games coming up.

How bad was that lads miss in the first half by the way ? Bjornssonesque.

Was The off side before or after his Rosenthal moment?

You're kidding, right?

Pools were, if anything, even worse for the first 2O minutes of the second half than they had been in the first. Absolutely woeful.

Then a goal from nothing (a belter mind) and it was like flicking a switch. The last 25 minutes was great; crowd behind the team at last, Oates winning everything in the air and two more great strikes.

Up till then Exeter looked a very decent side and big Reid was a real handful for Harrison, but Scotty battled through and then Tisdale did us a big favour by taking Reid off!
