Last week I posted what a taxi driver friend told me of dropping a player off at the Grand Hotel which resulted in a load of sarcasm.
I spoke to him today and pointed out nothing had happened. He went to his iPhone showed me he had picked up this player, on Pools account, from a Paris flight into Newcastle and dropped off at The Grand.
His name is Larsen Toure and has previously been at Ipswich. My friend said he believes he is still at The Grand.
Maybe waiting for clearance?

I'd be well pissed off if I was him and would just leave.

Premier Inns are better than Travellodge and even then it pales when compared to the luxury on tap at The Grand.

Someone needs to introduce any potential signings to the Venezia Special mixed kebab. They'll pay us to bloody sign

I appreciate defenders and midfielders are a priority but let's be honest we only have one forward, Thomas, who is worth his place. So Tree would you not like to see another forward who would improve the team. ( I must admit I have no idea what this player is like)

Don't take the sarcasm personally johnjo. It's part of the bunker charm

We'll probs sign him if he's a striker. Not play him and stick 6 on the bench.

Id love to see us sign a forward who would improve the team. Any position who improves the team is great by me.

On paper a 32 year old who hasnt had a club for a year, whose career highlight seems to be getting taken off at half time for Ipswich doesnt get my pulse racing but fingers crossed he bags the goals that keep us up. We really need someone fit who can hit the ground running. We dotn have time to get players up to match sharpness etc

On a slightly off topic note who was that big African striker we had on trial about 15 years ago, played well for the reserves and just as he was about to sign he fucked off without saying a word? Think he went to Torquay or somewhere and got a 3 out of 10 on his debut or something?

Betsy was born in deepest, darkest Woking, but that's a long way south of Artlepool so easily confused with Africa.

Habib Sissoko.

Found him eventually. Listed by Torquay fans as one of their worst signings but a few of them also list Effion as one of them too! sctatchinghead

I'm worried about this fella's welfare. Has he been allowed to leave his room? Is he being held there against his will by a team of JPNG heavies? If he gets signed before Saturday, is he gonna be match fit?

To be fair JPNG's heavies have been replaced by school bullies so if he can't get past them we'd be wasting our time signing him.

Not bullys. Jus cos a few of us have offered to help round the ground and belive in GC doesent make us bullys. I avent seen any of the evidence to show me CG had done anythin wrong yet. The two windin up orders where not a problem as CG pointed out. A was never bothered by them.

Well, my taxi driver claims that Larsen Toure is in fact a cocktail barman, recently recruited by the Grand Hotel.
Apparently he's adept at forging the authorisation signatures of local sports clubs so as to avoid paying his own expenses.

He travels all over the world without paying a single penny.

Agreeing with PJ. The Colonel and this guy were both showing as online together earlier.

I know thats not proof but I dont think Dibble knows how to use internet etc on his phone to log in elsewhere at the same time.

Not sure what has offended me most here.

On saying that, my boss had a dig at me last week because I didnt know how to use the camera on my phone.

Apparently that makes me stupid.

Now that you mention it, Mr. funny-as-piles-after-a-vindaloo 'Brian Clough' is even more likely to be the culprit.

I'm (almost) sorry to have taken Dibble's name in vain.

I remember the Sissoko debacle, I think he went off to Preston for a trial there instead. It was proper exotic back then, a foreign player at Pools. I think we had 2 other Frenchies on trial around then. Alain Shoubier was one. I remember seeing a Jamaican guy called Peter Prosper Prosper play for the reserves as well.

Alain Horace he was called he came on as sub against Northampton during a desperate 2-0 home defeat in front of 1,200. I remember him describing the Vic as 'small but beautiful' in the Mail! I don't think he was ever seen again!

He actually put the same comical Ali with accompanying comedy Gold on the Facebook page using his own account so it hardly takes sleuth like investigation techniques to work out who he is, in fact he makes other returning banned members like Sussex and Monketbutt look like MI6.

Nah, he only played half a dozen times for them from memory. Long enough for Belle and Sebastian to mention him in an interview!
