What a load of bollocks, why the emotive terms....? We're told that we have to batten down the hatches and stay at home ..... better phone work then
They're now showing a supposedly snowy street in the Scottish borders with what looks like a dusting of icing sugar so thin it's irrelevant.
Did weather bombs exist even ten years ago, or was it just a bit wet and windy ?

Count yourself lucky. Weather bombs are relatively mild, it's the marauding snow bastards and baby killing wind apocalypses that you have to look out for.

This cobblers of naming bits of bad weather is taking the British obsession with the weather to new levels of absurdity.
I'm prepared to believe that 'Storm Dora' might be a bit of a bad old girl in the Grampians but this island is 800 miles long, we don't all get the same weather!

It went mental at 7:30am this morning for about 10 mins but that's about it.

Drought Gary, surely?

You know, when you are desperately hoping for something to arrive and it never does?

Was a response to Accrington Fan: " if we get a dry summer we,ll end up with drought cyril or something."

My bad for forgetting to link it.

Was a bit breezy down here. Gadgie at work had a plank blow onto his car off some scaffolding. Smashed the windscreen and dented the roof in, will probably be written off.

So he phoned the scaffolder's insurance company, and they basically told him 'act of god, welcome to the board'. Shan or wbat?

It's an act of god for the scaffolders insurers to pay for.

That was the best thing about Hartlepool being in the eye of the storm, a bit breezy and wet but nowt really unusual. Not that I'm complaining.
