£20 for the chance of a contract at pools? Where would he host it? The Rec or Grey fields?

I was talking to a bloke who when he was younger paid £1000 for a trial that may have led to a "football" scholarship in the USA! He did get to keep the training kit though, and by the time he got an offer he had found a job instead and played NL football. £1000 for a trial and you get to get a sponsored training kit????
