I know it's early but I think we will get embarrassed yet again. Plymouth have won 10 out of 14 away games this season and are 2nd in the league.

Pools 1 - 2 Plymouth

Thomas to score.

Orient where poor but what they did was attack a very poor Plymouth back 4...Bradley went off injured and bulivitus who came on is a carthorse. .. on loan Kennedy and Taylor where stand out players for Plymouth and will be a danger but they also lost new signing sarcevic to injury...they played some good stuff at times but do not like being attacked

That's what Gary Coxhall would be called if he was a Greek God, maybe with an 'sh' thrown in after the l.

Rob McKinnon in in town on Saturday has anyone mentioned him bringing his boots?

Seriously what will the back four be?

Hopefully Donnelly and Bates are fit then maybe we have half a chance if not God knows.

Who else plays like!? Are you going to magic another centre back out of your arse?

If he's fit he's a still a decent player capable of cruising through games at this level.

We have plenty of untried centre backs on the books. Ben Pollock. Izaac Assenso, Harly Wise, Josh Nearney. And Brad Walker did well there on Tuesday. How many more do you want? Its a fucking hard man midfielder or two we need.

What am I thinking all of those options with 0 Football League appearances between them are far better options against 2nd top of the League than a fit Bates. Coxhall was right our squad is huge.

Ah well.

It's alright though because we have loads of other options according to henry. The fact Jones felt he needed to risk an injured player tells you everything surely?

PJ when have you seen bates cruise through a game? Maybe others aren't the answer but we will never know till given a chance. He was cruising during Mansfield second like whenever the ball goes near him his hand goes up for medical attention. A waste of a shirt and a wage in my opinion. No heart for the fight I would say he will not be seen this season have the pre season to win a contract get one in October injured by November.

When he's fit he's a decent player he reads the game well you can see he's played a high level of football, clearly by what people have been saying he was struggling on Saturday and clearly not fit to play last night.

I'm hardly setting up the blokes fan club he's annoyed me in the past but due to poor decisions in the summer and the chairmans January fire sale where we've got whoever we could off the wage bill he's about all we've got. If you think you can throw kids into a fourth division relegation battle then you're deluded and we're doomed.

I think he is part of the problem when I see the goals we conceded he defensive skills are shown lacking. Watch the highlights without the view of anything anti pools is horrendous. I remember Darren Williams and Robbie Elliot who also played at a higher level how weren't better than our own youth when given a chance. He alongside others are not performing. Not trying an alternative and getting the same results is delude and will result in us been doomed.

Rob Jones will back soon.

That's as long as those rumours of a white awning being erected around him and single gunshot being heard when he went down at Port Vale were untrue. People mentioned a van turning up with 'glue factory' on the side as well but I'm sure Buster can strap him out and get another ten minutes out of him.

He may be alright sitting in his bar all night or taking pictures of his cock but he will certainly never cruise through a football match. Get caught in possession any amount of times and get done for pace every game but will never cruise through a game. And no encouragement to the young kids in the side.As someone else said on the thread it will be a long time before he shuffles back on to the pitch.

Bates certainly does cruise through games and has done for the last 18 months I would suggest he should of tried commitment, running, heading and tackling these are far more important aspects of defending. These principals could also be applied in training and he may not be overweight. How he kept his place on Tuesday after the master class of what not to do on Saturday beggars belief. The same could also be applied to several others.

If these other centre halves that somebody signed cannot win a place in our team why the hell did we sign them. Several of them were on trial for weeks before they were signed and not just picked out at random so it should of been possible to make a proper judgement of their ability or appears lack of. Our defending is embarrassing and that's being kind and still not 1 sighting of wise, Pollock and assenso at first team level. We concede about 3 goals a game and look like we are lucky to only allow that so how could giving 1 of these be any worse. Or alternatively instead of setting fire to these 3 wages along the lesser spotted orrell, Rodney and the third choice goalie who we won't even put on the bench he is that good just for another three we could of signed 1 or 2 players who might of actually played and made a difference.

Never mind looking forward to going ice skating in coxhall's fantasy fun land or whatever the new Pipedream is come relegation.

Joining the ranks of the real pools fans elite. RPFE).

Pools 17 (seventeen) - Plymouth 0

Jones (dave) brings himself off the bench and scores 12.

Coxall supersub bangs in another 5.

The loan money was laid at bet365 for the exact score and scorers, giving a windfall big enough to pay HMRC and develop the ground and the new housing estate.

With the remaining cash, an island will be made off Seaton akin to palm island in dubai for the fillum stars coming to hartle wood to set up home.

I can see in my mind this 'island' we can call it Cox Island..... It's starts with two small islands connected and running parallel to the shore with a longer pier like island between them pointing out to sea. It's the future.

Can it double as a positive site regarding the councils vision for the future of Hartlepool under the fantastic leadership of the Akers belchers?

The Bates haters have been out in force this week - it started on the other board. It's like some weird bush telegraph - Pools are in free fall so let's find a player to blame.

Obviously this terrible run has nothing to do with the fact that we barely had a team before the transfer window opened and haven't got half a team left now. They can't slag off Toto and Carroll anymore because they were shipped out, so who does that leave? Bates! Featherstone!

Tell you what, lets try different combinations of 17 and 18 year olds till relegation is a mathematical certainty. Because at least the kids will run around like their lives depend on it.

Cue scenes of mild disgruntlement at the final whistle and a mass tutting from the Mill House when Coxall rolls his eyes.

Then rinse and repeat.

We're just bystanders.
For fans to have an effect, the owner has to be receptive, then listening and responding to their concerns.
We are in a fog and it's getting thicker...... It'll probably come clear as the conference fixture list comes out.

Unfortunately, when this happens, there will still be a hardcore of fans believing coxall is the best thing since sliced bread and relegation isn't real.

As I will be making a rare pilgrimage to the Vic (ha ha) I'm expecting us to put on a great performance and. ... err..... ok, it will be a brave 3-0 defeat followed by the usual excuses and comments from Jones.

Big Kev 70s and Feethams legend throws pie on to pitch which sends wicked deflection of ball past Argyle keeper. They all count says the ref. Pools win 1-0 to take four points off The Pilgrims. Cue wild celebrations with the re-opening of The Chesters, Powlett, The Devon, Palace Chambers and Golden Flatts. Bi-planes land on Seaton beach in tribute and Steeley's Pier is refurbished and the plant rebuilt. Chairman wins a tenner on a scratchcard and promises big new developments and signings. Ernie Pythian and big Bob Newton say they are interested. SH says its not quite time yet. Then I woke up and realised how stupid this dream was. Pools actually won 2-1, Featherstone tackled and the seagul left guano on their keeper's head. The crowd of 3,704 (Argyle 504) stream away from The Vic and all head for The Millhouse for some friendly banter and to discuss how Carlisle and Doncaster will blow it and the Navy will go up aka Argyle and Pompey.

According to the Fail:
Pools (probable): Fryer, Richardson, Walker, Harrison, Kavanagh, Featherstone, Woods,Thomas, Oates, Nelson, Amond

1-1 if Plymouth send their U-23 side to make it a fair contest

1-4 if they don't.

Brad Walker may have done well at centre back the other night but I'd have my reservations at starting him there again. Happy to be proved wrong however!

Dave Jones' pre-match quotes in the Fail are Trump-like in their inconsequential incoherence. There isn't a plan. He basically sounds like he hasn't got a fucking clue, which is more a reflection of where he is now than what he has achieved in the past.

Another Coxall master stroke - sell a load of players and spunk whatever cash isn't going to service debts on a 3 man management team.

It's the only bit of the bench that looks strong!

I know Jones has made some baffling team selections/formations in his games so far, but surely even he won't pick Walker to play at CB. We have 3 or 4 lads in the reserves who have spent all of their careers (including as youngsters) playing at CB. We have another out on loan who has played CB for the reserves a number of times.

If he does play Walker then Wise, Assenso, Pollock and Nearney might aswell find themselves another team tomorrow.

Does anyone know what the crack is with Assenso? Allegedly he signed for us at the end of October, but according to the FA website he was only registered as a Hartlepool player in December.

His picture has never appeared on the OS player profiles and in the past month he's been an unused sub in two Reserve league fixtures and only played in the Durham County Challenge Cup game against South Shields.

I think it's safe to assume his first team debut is some way off, though the way this season is panning out, you never know...

Besides the point but the Mail is reporting that Hylton for Luton is on over 8k a week - and to think we 'tried' to sign him!

Quote Dave Jones:

“They have set the tone now and I want to see them carry on from where they left off. Talking to the Luton lads after the match, they said no matter what they tried they could not get near us.''

He watched a very different game to me at Luton.
