We need to arrange a new manager a fortnight before the other one has been sacked.

I noticed on Twitter before the game that a supporter was invited into the dressing room to help celebrate his 80th birthday.

It sounds a nice gesture but it's probably a desperate attempt from Jones to get a bit of experience into the dressing room.

Just you all wait, we're going to sign some of these experienced free agents that are knocking about and will be fit and ready to get us moving up the league. That's in addition to some tasty Finnish players we're going to get on loan from our partner club FC Lahti.

Jones could quite easily walk away anytime he wanted as well.

Not all that convinced that would be the worst thing to happen. Sam Collins should of had the job.

Men against boys. Disgraceful. Arguably worse than the Stevenage game, even given the current difference in score.

It almost literally is men against boys though it's hard to even blame the players.

When we beat stevenage at a canter, they have gone on and won 4 on the bounce.

We have conceded 11 goals scored 1 and got 1 point, so much for the new manager effect.

Where do we go from here with this team, i think we can only hope thomas hits a bit of form and the team starts putting a shift in other than that we are @ucked.

crazy how woods, walker and hawkins have all been criticised in this thread yet nothing towards captain quiet nicky featherstone. The bloke is picked week in week out regardless of his shit performances. This season Deverdics, hawkins and woods all have a higher win % than him yet he's still the first name on the team sheet, Its no coincidence that when he signed for us he played 9 games without winning the next game he was dropped and it was 3 points in the bag. Also one of our best performances this season was grimsby away when he was un available due to suspension. Please Mr.Jones drop this pisspotical excuse of a footballer before its to late!!

Got back bloody late as you can imagine but here's a brief report.

''You're fucking shit'' - chant of the evening from the Luton supporters - and they weren't wrong. So many comedic moments from Pools, the round of applause we got from the Luton fans felt almost in sympathy at the fact that, yes, we are barking mad, we just travelled all this way on a Tuesday evening to support that.

Only at Pools can you sell two defenders and claim it to be good business before ending up with a back four of Kavanagh, Harrison, Walker and Richardson. Both full backs got bullied, Harrison's mistake for the third was a classic and to be fair to Walker he didn't actually do too bad. Was still abundantly clear to everyone there that this was a backline cobbled together on a shoe-string budget. The game was lost in 15 mins after two terrible defensive errors and from there, besides an alright 20 minute spell in the 2nd half, we were CRAP.

Featherstone was by far and away Pools best player. He doesn't do anything pretty, never beats a man but is very tidy and breaks plays up. If he was in a better team, playing the same role, he'd be just fine. He's not the midfield warrior we so desperately need at the moment, but he's not even close to being part of the problem.

Pointless blaming Jones. If ever a manager has his hands tied behind his back at Pools this is the one. Alarming how he ends up with two young forwards in a full transfer window when it was clear he had never seen them play before. Already, all the chopping and changing shows he is a man panicking. Sold 'the dream' were we? Piss off!

That last night was a side devoid of confidence, ideas and for some (most of them!) bottle. Little to no rallying calls, no spurring on, no barking orders - quite literally... turned up... rolled over and got done in. Luton won't get an easier 3 points all season.

Players being forced over to clap at the end was all well and good, but even then they looked a bit frightened. Atleast I could see a bit of shame on their faces at the 90 mins they had just tried to pass as 'football'. Another great turnout from the Pools supporters and yes, i'll be there again this season because like everyone else I'm Poolie till I die and will be hoping and praying we can scrape enough points together to remain in this division.

Coxall has cost cut and cost cut but he is really gambling with our league status now. Watching Orient's highlights, they look like a team up for it, as do County. So which two are going to be worse than our lot this season?

Ah well, NSD (right?)

Credit to Brad for playing there and giving it his best for the team but what an absolutely shambolic and embarrassing state of affairs for a 'professional' football club to be in. It's like a school team or a Sunday morning throwing someone into a position they have never played in during a game in the Football League. I really am starting to have a horrible feeling about all of this.

Spot on, it's fucking embarrassing. Even more so when we sold our best centre half and sent Richards out on loan who has played CB before for the first team & reserves. Surely he needs to be recalled before Saturday !?
