Random fact I never knew: "Wayne Fontana left the band in the middle of a concert in 1965."

Now that's what I call going out in style. And to think he could have been the 11th cc.

(info for anyone younger than about 50: Wayne F Was the group's front man)

Impressive storming off technique but what struck me about that film is the strange belch singing by the bloke who does the deep 'love' on the chorus.

If I'm not mistaken the belcher is Eric Stewart.

It is. Eric Stewart took Lead Vocals after Wayne left. the Mindbenders (minus Mr Fontana) were a GREAT 60s band. Got lots of their output and by 67-68 you can tell they were going to morph into 10cc.

To be fair to 10cc, it was a stroke of genius changing their name to dissociate themselves from that dungheap single called Neanderthal Man.
