Yeah young Darlo fan, used to like a charity walk in the pitch black and getting knocked over. Bit of a bell-end from memory but not a Keyboard Warrior or even a Detective. Why?

Just been looking at the Grimsby forum about Saturday and he's posting on there saying he's going on Saturday and "looking forward to seeing Grimsby smash the Hangers". The name rang a bell as a bit of bell-end but couldn't remember if it was the same one. Seems he is still more concerned about us than 1883.

He was going out with a lass from Grimsby and had a child by her. Spends a lot of time down that way. Not sure why he wants to miss a Darlo match to watch that lot though!

Was that the one he did at marathon pace for 2 days without sleep?

Or the one where he fell off the kerb and twisted his ankle at the very start?

I thought he was a spoof account set up by a Poolie at first.

He is? This will make me feel old, I also created Hartlepool United's first ever website with all round top man Paul Mullen, waaaaay back.

I think the day I got the phone call slaughtering me for commenting that I saw a then manager getting out of a car and onto the team coach at a service station on the A1, which apparently collaborated a wild rumour that he had been in police cells the previous night, thus him instructing a solicitor to throw some weight around at several of the posters and me, was a pivotal day in internet land. Zippy always will be a 'lovely lovely person' to me!

Quote:
In 2009, when the club was last in administration, Mr Park and best friend Keirran Lamb attempted to walk 120 miles from Darlington to Lincoln in just over two days.

But after about 90 miles, Mr Lamb began complaining of chest pains before collapsing of exhaustion.

The following year, Mr Park set off to walk to Macclesfield ahead of another Quakers game to raise money for a wheelchair for a family member.

After five hours, his torch ran out of batteries. As he was crossing the road to change them, he tripped on a kerb, smashed his head open and had to been taken to hospital.

The bit in the Echo article about one of his accomplices having two false knees and his bike being 50 years old, given the hapless context of the whole story, cracks me up no end.

Prob the people involved can't say but the manager in question tried to take them to court for slander when it was all true.

I've just read this one, I think parts of have been deleted from the time as he ended up arguing with some old bloke who wanted to join in his 'bike ride' I think the bloke was also hospitalised doing it

He's like something off a comedy sketch show.

It was a great era for message board nut cases just looking at some of those threads reminds me of Ted Forster, the bloke who Darlo Pete got on board to save Darlo but apparently running a small chippy in Rhodes didn't generate enough funds. The bloke is an off the scale liar/nut case. He once popped up on my Facebook page years ago when he was posting on League Two forum or something so I clicked on his profile and some of the stories :shock: He claimed he was sub keeper for Darlo when they played the famous West Ham team in the FA Cup back in the 60's but merely lying about playing for Darlo wasn't enough for this bloke, he claimed that not only he did he speak to Bobby Moore the World Cup winning captain (due to the level of respect Moore gave the opposition in those days) actually knew who he was!!! He had heard of Ted Forster. Off his tits. Anyway I digress here he is back in 2011 faking his death;

Some of that was worth reading if only to remind myself of what a complete and utter waste of spunk DJ No.1/Kickinthejacobs/Hoppsy really was. I miss him.

On another note, I'm walking from home to the papershop and back tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to raise £5,000 to pay the paper bill. If I return unscathed would anyone like to contribute? I've set up a charity interwebby page called "any mugs around?" sctatchinghead

Football supporters, not followers, supporters buy tickets, stand freezing, cheer or jeer, travel hours on end in the hope of a positive result, I don't care which team you chose to support, pretty much all the same, whatever level.

I had to stop reading after 5 pages of that thread as thought my sides would split. Some of the sarcasm is absolutely top drawer.
