This competition has completely lost the little value it actually has. How can they dictate to us what players we need to play when they're stating that it is a reserve fixture. It's an absolute joke.
How would people feel about signing a petition to review competition rules or to have the competition reverted to its original format?

I understand this probably won't make any difference. However if we can get enough fans from enough clubs involved it might make the higher powers have a think.

Bin it off, the gates teams get for such a pointless tournament were low enough before they introduced reserve teams to the mix. I wouldn't be surprised if such games ended up in a financial loss for smaller clubs.

Let it play out this season. I'm sure the "little" teams will complain about devaluation of the tournament, and less revenue etc, whilst the "big" clubs will complain about perceived lack of competition etc. Ie One hit wonder.

So basically it's a reserve game but we have to play our first team because the FA said so? However in the same tournament we will play Sunderlands reserves and they can field all 16 year olds if they want?

Sounds fair.

The rules have just been published http://mobile.efl.com/news/article/2016 ... 79215.aspx

Any of the 'under 21' or 'reserve teams' must play up a minimum of 6 u21s. So essentially Sunderland could send 5 of there best players down if they really wanted...

Becoming more a joke by the minute this!

Betting sites don't think they will be playing any of their best players that's for sure, the lowest price u23 team is 5/2 and go up to about 6/1. Seems quite big when the League 1/2 sides don't give a shit about it either

I'd start with something like this;

Hangus

Ticket office woman, Rod the Steward, Mad Les, Fleming

Mark Simpson, Hignett, Speed Camera, Ivan Ash

Fetish Bob, Barrier Guy

I have never given less fucks about a Pools fixture, I hope nobody goes to it.

Dave Brown

GeoffN, Coxall's Dog, Greg Darby, Tracey out of the Club Shop

Doris Ford, Doris Ford's Son "Fordy", Bruce Kinnersley (Sells pies outside Mill House), Brad Walker

Spike the Lottery Seller, The Town End Screamer.

Its certainly not wot it used to be.
Anyone remember the Q/F win at Sland late 80,s when Brian Honour Scored of a corner to send the 1000 poolies in the corner of the roker end absolutely mental.

Then we got beat of Preston in the semis at the vic with a pitch invasion and SPike knocking a few of there lads out on the half way line.

Happy Days.

There's no way I am playing centre half, have you seen the size of me!

I demand to be played in Compton's old position so that I can regularly disappear during the match, then complain on twitter how much I miss the press box!

Lowest attendance figure mentioned so far is 36 tickets sold prior to kick off at Barnet. Yup 36..... can't wait to see the attendance figures.

I know nobody wants to watch this and teams aren't taking it it seriously but someone called Mugabe has scored for Yeovil. I would give me even less incentive to go having to watch that tyrant, plus it's hardly in encouraging youth the bloke must be in his 90's.

A bit misleading that like that stand is the away end at Oxford they have had no home fans in it for League games. Hopefully the rest of the ground is that empty!

Oh and they are playing Exeter.

Well Everton won at a tasty 5/1 and Norwich were 3/4 when they were 2-0 up so filled up on that.

Cheers bookies.

Impressive result for Norwich, I'd expect many of that team that won 6-1 at Peterborough tonight to be playing for and winning England the World Cup in Qatar now. You what, a 28 year old Frenchman scored a hat trick for them you say!?

What a fucking farce.

See the sponsors have waded in with a tweet having a dig at the fans.

That'll do then a lot of good.

On saying that, I have never heard of the fuckers.

Sounds like certain clubs are treating it the same way fans are. FA should scrap it immediately to save face.

They're selfish. They're giving the competition validation by attending and this is clearly a way to introduce B teams in the future. By attending they are potentially ruining the future of football all for their own selfish interests.

They should be ashamed.
