Firstly I don't think we'll play as bad a team all season, massively frustrating that we had to play 94 minutes with a man down against them.

The first goal was an absolutely brilliant bit of football classy scooped ball by Woods took well by Featherstone and finished very well, those two got stick last week rightfully so, but that was the perfect response so early the game. We could not have had a better start. Then in next breath one of them is playing centre back..

Then Toto did that 30 seconds later, what the fuck? As clear a sending off as you will ever see, then the free kick goes in. It wasn't even a good free kick, a poor wall. For the rest of the first half we were easily the better team though creating two or three really good chances. But we didn't make a sub after the sending off and persisted with one centre back on the pitch so, we let a useless fat blimp like Jon Parkin chest turn and volley from 30 yards, irregardless of the space we afforded and his enormous turning circle Carson really should have saved it.

We continued to play well with the ball though and deservedly equalised before half time. We were the only team playing football and creating chances, The first 15 minutes of the second half we gave it a real go to try and get the next goal but then looked knackered for the rest the rest of the game, thankfully the opposition were talentless.

Jordan Richards deserves a mention, he played well today credit to the lad won header after header and put in loads of blocks, Harrison and Donnelly did great when they both came on. I thought Nathan Thomas was outstanding, that run were he got scythed down second half after he'd already beaten three or four was about the most skillful bit of play I've seen at the Vic.

Good performance but a massive two points dropped against an appalling team.

Lots of other teams win games with ten men.
Theres still a bit of optimism there but this five game winning streak the chairman reckons we capable of doing needs to happen asap.
Talk is cheap you cant fool the hartlepool public. The attendance yesterday proved that.
No clean sheets and one win from6 games is not champions form as Higgy predicted a few weeks ago.

There is very fine margins in this division but when they gunna turn in our favour?

Hignett never predicted we would be champions. He said it was our aim, bit of a difference.

agree with most of what you say there PJ, however credit where credit is due, that was a great strike by Parkin. Had that been Paynter or Thomas etc, we'd have our fans creaming their pants.

Toto on the other hand, should be fined and not allowed near the first team for a few weeks. I'd of understood had it been the 89th minute and 1-0 up, but after 3 minutes, its inexcusable.

Agree about Toto, Parkin's was a decent strike but was given far too much space to chest and turn and it really should have been saved.

Was impressed by Donnelly when he came on.

They've both got one thing in common: I've seen milk turn quicker.

Just seen it again on the footy round up show. So why did the guy who did the same for Crawley not get sent off, that was deliberate too?

I'm puzzled by the straight red, was he denying a goalscoring opportunity?

He was laid flat in the penalty box and pulled ball to him as he thought he had been fouled. Ref blew for a pen and showed yellow card.

If Toto had done it in the box it would have been a yellow the rules have changed.

The handball was a shocking bit of fielding in a cricket match .................. as for a football match words fail me the truth is Aristotle was beaten by the ball and he was preventing it curling behind him to their striker can be the only explanation.
