New manager of Eastleigh.

Good job for him that, decent chance of getting back in the League with financial clout they have.

With his tactical knowledge and antiquated play formations, I would employ him as a trolley collector at Asda.

Good luck to Ronnie but I can't see him lasting long, Sacking the last manager after just 4 games shows just how how high pressure football is these days. Ronnie's last few games with us just showed how limited he is as a manager, seem to remember some Tranmere fans telling us that when we appointed him. Eastleigh would be one of those who are spending big in the Conference and the only measure of success would be winning the league, the other being Forest Green the Conference is one tough league to get out of, just ask Grimsby about that.

I like Sir Ron even if it did go pear shaped at the end. He was exactly what we needed in our hour of need. I'd sooner remember the great escape rather than the way it ended. He also signed most of our current first team and we're not too shabby at the moment. Definitely left us better than when he joined us.

This is in no way a dig at you Mr Mr Turner, it's just you reminded me of it, but I've never really understood the 'difficult league to get out of' statement....aren't they all? I don't think any of them are easier than any other.

He is one of the reasons Football leaves me cold.

A dinasaur. That keeps getting jobs.

Oh come on, the great escape was nothing of the kind. Tranmere and Cheltenham imploded a little more than we did.

Good luck to him though.

I disagree Mr I, I can recall you writing us off completely around Christmas, which was fair enough at the time, but we stayed up....so how did we manage that with a shit team and double figures of points to make up?

He came in and managed to change enough and get enough out of the players to keep us up.

Worth a pat on the back surely? For me, the great escape was just an expression of relief and a well done...of course those making the news will make a big deal of it.

We'd won 2 of 21 League games when he get the job to describe the second part of the season when Moore got the job as an implosion is about as a ridiculous a comment as they come. We were as good as relegated and turned out top half of the table form from that point onwards that was good enough to keep us in the League. We were on course for just about our worst season ever how exactly do you 'implode' from that?

We were possibly the worst league team to ever grace the football league, for us to stay up after the first 6 months was nothing short of a miracle. Without Ronnie Moore we would probobly be playing at guiseley tommorow instead of an opportunity to go top. We made the right decision to let him go but to not give him any credit is ridiculous. I think hignett has won 1 of the last 8 so not an easy job the pools one.

Utter bilge. We'd undoubtedly be supporting a non league club if not for Mr Moore.

Football is essentially chaos. He organized the chaos quite well in his first season, then it went tits up.
