I fancy us for a 3-0 win tonight

Amond x2
Thomas x1

Tough game I reckon they have made a decent start also and reading the Crewe forum the fans seem quite optimistic about the way they've started the season. Two wins and draw and considering two of those have been against Sheffield United and Portsmouth suggest this could be our toughest League game so far.

I'll go for Desmond (2-2) Amond and Thomas on target for us.

I worry about that central midfield, looks a wee bit lightweight. Good to see Bates back.

I must admit I think a defeat tonight. Had some proper hidings at Crewe and I can't recall us ever having won there in my time as a Pools fan. Hopefully proved wrong but I'm still a bit unconvinced by us just yet.

Sloppy defending for both goals, both from down our right hand side. First time I've seen Toto Nsiala and he can't half tackle, but he doesn't half give it away. Three times this half under very little pressure.

As I mentioned it was very optimistic going for a midfield two against a passing side as proficient as Crewe, Michael Woods or someone who can tackle, Laurent perhaps, needs to be brought on.

Nathan Thomas needs to get in the game more, either flank, just not central. Too often Magnay or Carroll have had it and we've had no wide option. Crewe pick it off and they can counter too easily against Featherstone and Deverdics, we need to stretch them.

Don't deserve to be losing to be fair. Billy really should've scored with a 1 on 1 but chipped it beyond the diving keeper but went just wide.

Toto played deverdics into trouble with a ball inside and they hit the post from the chance created when deverdics lost possession. Partially deverdics fault but it should never have been played to him.

Magnays goal was class. Curled into the top corner. Looked deliberate to me.

Thomas is having a really odd game. Doesn't really seem to want the ball. When Carroll has the ball he continually drifts into midfield when it's crying out for a run down the line. He's done it over and over again. He seems to be getting into positions where he can't receive the ball. Odd.

Anyway, game on. Come on pools make my drive home a happy one

For those who are there, are we left open with 2 in midfield? Worried about that when seen line up as presume it's 442. Would rather see us pack midfield away from home however it sounded like we took control of Exeter game by going to 442
