Ooh er...

And this must be the new away kit.

Good stuff, money in the bank, new sponsors, perfect.

As for the name, couldn't give a flying, everybody will know it as the Vic, they can brand it what they like.

A pink strip! Renamed ground!

That's all well and good, but what about the new operations gadgie? Jeans?

And they don't look as if they've seen the inside of a washing machine for some time!

Great work by Gary and the new guy whose name escapes me.

It will only ever be The Vic to us fans, but by what I'm hearing this is bringing a serious amount into the club..a SERIOUS amount.

Got to be a good thing.

It's never going to be anything but the Vic so the name doesn't bother me, I hope the sponsorship has not come cheaply though.

Can we ban calling it the vic? It's not the vic, it's the Northern Power and Gas Stadium.

I think Elvis has just answered my question. We've got to live in the real World and every revenue stream needs to be explored.

Agree with the majority here, it's the Vic, it will continue to be the Vic, just we have a bit more in the kitty.

Tidy bit of business.

Just had the Mail on for a quote from the Trust. I said pretty much the same; Gotta be a good thing for a lower league club who by definition are always hand to mouth for income.

What's In a name? Nobody ever called it Victoria park anyway, it was and always will be the vic or pools.

I concur with the consensus. The Northern Guano Power Stadium is just a name, and a sponsorship revenue stream bringing in caching.. Its the Vic. Gilbert is a genius, whoever signed him up needs a pay rise!

People are making out that if you get caught saying "The Vic" you will be banished to a lifetime of guano duties with Bob.

Who cares about the name?

More worrying is that there are firms out there that pay to have the ground named after them, even though nobody will ever call it that.

Daft bastards

However on the BBC, Sky, etc. they'll be calling it by the sponsored name. Not so daft bastards I reckon.

The media are pretty much obliged to call it by it's official name.

I would have preferred something relevant like The Northern Guano and partial removal Stadium but beggars can't be choosers.

For the slow of thought. Every time the sponsors name for the ground is used....ker-ching, money in the bank from the 'meeeejah' We ain't the 'meeeeejah, so we still call it the Vic. Win win situation.

By some utter idiots having a go at Coxall over it on Twitter.

I even ventured into the other board for a first time to see their views and they all have it spot on too.

Ps Mr Blue if you read this place - you have predicted Norwich to finish bottom of Premiership, they are in Championship ;)

Great for the club and plenty of dosh in the bank as a result by the sounds of it.

Someone asking do they need permission off the landlord,of course this is sorted. It is isn't it.

Always be the Victoria ground for me like.

I agree - great move for pools, extra cash for little effort/change and for the first time in years a proper external commercial partner not otherwise linked to the club. Also it sounds like there was a choice of bids and we haven't gone with a less reputable (e.g wonga) firm.

Regardless of the name of the ground, that strip has just saved me in excess of a hundred notes.

I was feeling a bit sad about the name change, always think of the Vic as the Victoria Ground where I started going to matches with my grandad. Then I thought about how he would have reacted to somebody paying the club to put their name on the ground - he would have been round to Church street to bank the cash within seconds and grinning all the way home afterwards.

Could have been worse, heard this company were looking to sponsor a ground

Although the shirt colour would fit in nicely?
