Who the fook buys them? I don't know anyone who does, and I've never seen anyone buy one either.

Aye, odd things. Now, I like an egg and I like pickled things like beetroot. Pickled eggs though? Oof.

Could be a decent solution to obesity though. Just give the chubbys pickled eggs. Protein is more filling than carbs and it would take you a good few hours to eat one.

Make no sense at all in the chip shop but excellent to have one or two in the pub though. Best served in a little paper cake thing with salt. No danger of the shits the next day after a pickled egg.

Fish and chips with scraps and 3 battered pickled eggs. Can't beat it.

Left a few scraps like.

I don't think I've ever seen pickled eggs in real life?

A battered, pickled Egg!?

This actually exists!? Why pickle it, at the end of the day a pickled egg is just a boiled egg stuck in a jar vinegar to preserve it? Do the Chip Shop buy the ones from the pubs that decide nobody buys them and they sell the ten year old jar to the chippie for you to buy!?

Is this dish one of these new found 'super foods' does contain any traces of cholesterol?

I'm with Mr Toulouse on this one, although you don't really see em in Pubs these days. As for deep fried, I think it sounds tasty. Why not? I like Scotch eggs, so a deep fried pickled egg seems nice.

I tried one as a daft dare while waiting for an order. I'll not be having one again though.

Does anyone have pickled eggs for eyes?

As a previous landlord, I sold them and went through a large jar once a month, served with salt and vinegar crisps they are a tasty nibble.

Did you make your own Mr Butt? Just a mate of mine does and occasionaly (rarely) brings a jar to the pub.

It exists cos I asked for it. No idea if I'm alone in eating them but I did get a strange look when I asked her to batter them.

Odd Cod have a big jar of them, very similar to one on Moes Bar.

I think with good reason you get a funny look it sounds absolutely repulsive, a boiled egg is already over cooked it has boiled and set why would you drop it in more boiling fat? It's like something Homer did in the Simpsons episode were he strives to get fat enough to work from home.

You might as well start eyeing up everything on the counter as potentially battered; Bread Buns? Wooden Chip forks?

Any past Pools managers buying pickled eggs just before games?

Lovely! A pickled egg with a bit of salt.
