I do a lot of driving around town now between sites and am surprised at the number of Boro shirts appearing, surely no one's so thick as to start wearing one because of their recent elevation to footballs Hall of the Gods..... or Division One as I prefer to call it.

I am surrounded by 'chelse' shirts normally which is why I detest them more than any other team but there has been a distinct lack of them on show this summer confised

TBF compared with the whole of Catalonia wearing Barça shirts, its not really a big issue.

Sid James' Park used to be sold out for every game. Then gaps started to appear, & now my employer's sports & social club has cancelled the season tickets which it put into a draw for its members.
Now the club have resorted to Groupon for Friday's game at Fulham

I'm sure these Boro fans have simply folded last seasons Newcastle shirt neatly and put it away until an appropriate date when they can confirm their lifelong allegiance. Then bought a Boro shirt to confirm their lifelong allegiance!.

You realise that's for a screening of the game?

They may have dropped down a league but the mugs up there will no doubt pack the place regardless. I don't think any other club in the country has such a blind following.

Which part of "game at Fulham" didn't you understand?

Have to say as a really good point where I live I see more kids in Peterbrough and Cambridge tops than anything else. Guess it comes with no PL team being round here
