I find them cynically dull. Not offensive. And that's probably the root of their problem for most.

Coldplay are dull, but Keane and Travis are beyond dull. They should be shot.

I like a few Coldplay songs, but I could never go and watch them live. Are they even alive?

If you like one Coldplay tune you'll like them all, unimaginably similar, although to be fair I thought their set at Glasto was entertaining.

The tribute was a very nice touch. The irony being that bands song is better than all of theirs.

That one with "Vida" in the title - I thought it was Take That performing when I first heard it.

I think they only got famous in the beginning because people kept mistaking them for Kasabian and buying their albums by accident.

Employment wasn't a bad album, went to see them live a few year back and they were very good live.

Saw them at Heaton Park with Oasis and The Enemy, Kasabian were unreal, the others... mediocre.

I saw them at Heaton Park as well, The Enemy dropped out and Reverend and the makers replaced them which I was glad because I'm not a fan of The Enemy.

The power went off during Rock n Roll star and Liam offered everyone a refund (still waiting for it). Kasabian were on par if not better than Oasis that night.

Was invited to look at the video for 'Atlas' as an example of use of kinetic text the other day.

The kinetic text was ok but the tune reminded me of every other boring anthem with crap lyrics Coldplay have churned out since they went mega.

Still, 18 and a half million views says different - most of the stuff I like on youtube is lucky to get 18,500 views.

Kasabian are totally on a par with Oasis.
The par being utterly, utterly shite lad rock.
Each to their own though.

I reckon there'd be loads of annoying twats there. Many moons ago the lass I was with liked the Stereophonics, so I went with her to see them headline an all day thing in Donnington. You couldn't move for pissed-up mouthy morons, and annoyingly I didn't see any of them kick lumps out of each other. Just loads of sub-Gallagher posturing and strutting, all soft as shite with rotten patter. Shouting along to all the choruses. I was indifferent to the Stereophonics until then, but they weren't very good and I've disliked them ever since. Fucking terrible day, the only bright spot was getting on the bus back home.

I share the general consensus of Coldplay but they have produced one song I rate (Violet Hill).

Why do all these dreary British bands always have such terrible drummers? Plodding away in the background about half an hour behind the beat. And the fucker with Oasis always sounded like he was using dead seagulls instead of drumsticks.
