I went yesterday and was rather surprised that my seat that I've had for about 10 years had already been sold to someone else!!!

To be fair they said it would be sorted no problem and it was my ticket arrived today recorded delivery, unfortunately they have also been efficient enough to take the money out of my back!

Can you just go down any time to collect your card or do you have to meet Russ outside Verrils at 02:37 on a Tuesday night to receive a password

A few years back on first day of the season I went to my usual seat to find they had sold another season ticket to my seat an all. Never quite sure how they manage to sel the same seat twice but they make a habit of it.

Yes, that once happened to me when I went to renew. Sharon consulted the computer and told me that my other half hadn't been sitting next to me all the previous season but had in fact been watching from the Town End.
Another fan had been sitting next to me instead.

I mean, we all make mistakes but it seemed such a crazy thing for her to believe that I wouldn't have noticed if this story were true.

the last time I renewed my season ticket, Sharon told me I had never had one. Despite me having holdthe one, with my name on it, from the previous season.

I walked away believing I didnt really exist.

I blame MadJohn

No, well the person who was supposed to be sitting next to me didn't exist either.
You and he will have been citizens of the parallel universe that was IOR.

A few questions relating to the new S.T cards (I apologize if this has already been mentioned)......

a) Do you swipe it on the way into the ground or show it to the turnstile op' who swipes it?
b) If it isn't swiped how do they know if your in the ground or not?
c) If I want to lend it to family/friends will they be able to get in?, and if not why?
d) Who shot J.R?

I think they'll probably extend the early bird deadline as well so I can see us going past the last couple of years.

Was in there 10;30 this morning and there were ten people in there buying/renewing S/T's. By the time I left the queue has increased behind me to about 12/14.

I reckon we could tip 3000 sales which is quite remarkable really.

I was depressed about football till I went in but chatting to a few and just being at The Vic after a 2 month gap, I'm REALLY looking forward to next season.

EC - could you use your contacts within the club and local media to get to the bottom of the winding up order near miss?

I'd hate to think the current chunk of season ticket income was used to pay off old debts and push a cash flow crisis a few months down the line - but it's hard not to!

An Arcadia/Chappell = IOR/Coxall =BHS/HUFC analogy would be too hard to bear!

I've not spoken to anybody down there but what I do know is there's been a big learning curve for the staff since IOR went. From what I can gather the club used to get a lot of the Accounting stuff done for them by IOR and weren't even party to most of it, which I would imagine is totally different now JPNG are in control. I'm sure mistakes/errors will have been made simply because it's all new to them.

I'm pretty certain it's nowt to worry about.

Is the deadline the 1st of July or the 30th of June? I'm currently in China and not back until the evening of the 30th so was hoping to go down on Friday.

I would check myself but it won't let me on the ticket part of the site from here for some reason.

And if you are going to renew your season ticket, fill a form in before you go, it is quicker than getting to the front of the queue and finding out you need a form, no names mentioned like (happened about 10:30 that's all I am saying)

Looks like the Early Bird wont be getting extended.
And with anutha 4 weeks to kick off the club must be expecting a lot of fans to pay on the day.

Did we hit 3000+?

They did extend it for one day, the new owners have done plenty right since they took over but I don't get this one. Why effectively stop selling season tickets in the first week of July? Unless they want s few less season ticket holder and more pay on the day punters.

They should scrap the early bird stuff, keep tickets the same price and have them available up until the 31st July.

Can you imagine the uproar from the club insiders if the early bird was done away with?

Its what some of them live for.

2862 apparently, though there's still time. I haven't bought mine yet.

It says we've sold 'over 2862' season tickets so the figure could be anything over that, I'm going for 2868.

I was sat within a few feet of Geoff Newton on Saturday, he said he was going to that Kynren show in Bishop in his Y fronts and slogans daubed on his chest stating " Hodcroft In" if we haven`t sold 3,000!

Well whoevers decision it was to have the early bird finish so early, has probobly lost the club around 500 season ticket holders on last season. If things dont improve vastly on the pitch this season crowds are going to be well down on previous years.

I'm not sure we've lost 500 season ticket holders have we? Didn't we sell just over 3,000 last year, we are just short of that with a month to go and concession tickets are still cheap. We'll at least sell as many as last season I'd say but I'm not sure why the early bird has ended so early.

I think the clues in the name, the idea of having an early bird offer till the day before the season opens defeats the purpose. Have we had long enough to take advantage of the offer ?...... Yes. But why do people wait till the last minute or on this case after the deadline.

How about the radical idea that People wait because they need another payday to get the cash together?

They should split the offer into 3 sections:- Really Early Bird, Early Bird and Tight Bird for better clarity

If they were true fans they would have saved up in the months prior to that, or they would have made their kids go without food for a month.

Get with the programme man.

You're not a true fan unless you plunge yourself into debt buying a season ticket.

Well now, the early birds have already had two paydays and I'd guess most people don't have a lot of slack left out of their August pay anyway after factoring in their holidays.

Stop whining you great jessies.
