I am sick to death of hearing from them, and their passion. Its always the same with Wales. In the six nations rugby, they are the same.

A frustrating match but England had their chances. Not a great performance but certainly not as bad as some are trying to make out.

Portugal are due a win so if they beat Hungary they'll probably win the group. Iceland and Austria will cancel each other out so a game against Iceland, Austria or Hungary on Monday. You'd have settled for that at the start. I think far too much is being made of the so called "easy" draw that England have missed out on. We should also get to see England for the first time in a game where the opposition actually have to try and win too (not withstanding their opposition playing for penalties from the first second!). Regarding Wales I thought they were smashing in putting Russia away albeit it does need to be pointed out that Russia had no choice but to go for the win and were hopelessly caught out on the break. It's interesting that Wales didn't look quite as menacing when they played England last week.

Nailed by Messers Bramstein and Tree. Wales are a good counter-punching side and have had 3 opportunities to demonstrate that.

Against England, Slovakia parked the bus for a point and killed the game as a spectacle. Vardy needs space to be effective - apart from one chance, he didn't get any. Neither did anyone else.

Thank fook we're on to the knockout stage next week. In the meantime there's Northern Ireland parking the bus against Germany to 'look forward' to. Mind, the Irish will probably show more ambition than Slovakia - it would be near impossible not to.

You can't really blame these teams in terms of 'style' of play though Slovakia knew that a point would all but guarantee progression. They aren't just going to come out and have a go and give us loads of space. Wales played in exactly the same way, Bale barely touched the ball in open play against us. Its up to us to have the quality to break that down and we did have enough chances to do that with Vardy and Sturridge especially culpable. We've played well enough to have won all three games and been completely dominant in all of then, maybe just an early goal in a game will see it all come together.
