The worst kept secret has been confirmed Michael Duckworth has signed for Fleetwood. Done well for us overall but time is probably right to move on, I for one would like to wish him luck !

Good luck to him. Hopefully he stays fit and can forge a good career out at that level.

One of our most consistent players of the last few years when fit. Best of luck to him.

Always liked him but step up and no doubt first team football. Can't blame him.

Bollocks :(

No idea why people think he's a sick note. He's had a couple of injuries that's all. Fragile is not a word I'd associate with him.

What would you consider to be putting up a fight and why do you think we didn't?

I always liked Duckworth and I think we will miss him. He has been a good signing and it's a shame to see him leave for nothing but such is the way of the lower leagues. In many games especially during the 'great escape' he was hands down our best player I thought.

Doubt he would be starting for us ahead of Magnay so common sense says we wouldn't be offering mega bucks to someone who presumably would be sat on bench. We just need Magnay to stay injury and suspension free. Wages can be better spent elsewhere imo on someone who is expected to start games etc. Will miss him though as loved watching him.

End of the day he will be closer to home, higher league and probably getting more minutes. Can't fault him for moving on in the slightest. Some of the comments on Facebook like 'Judus' and 'good riddance' are embarrassing.

Football is a short career and the vast majority of players are not on Premier Laegue salaries. At this level if some one offers you a better deal you really have to take it to protect your family and your future.
For me like was mentioned he had some recurring groin problems which do have a habit of coming back again.
It will also save a fare and a bed for the Teneriffe trip !
