I attended plenty of the games mentioned above.

But my point still stands.

Next to no fucker was there.

I remember going to the mill house with 40 tickets and threw 25 away. couldnt give them away.

When it finally ends it will not be remembered fondly, except by a few diehards.

Your point was that it would be only worth reaching Wembley if it was in the FA Cup or Play Offs and that reaching the JPT final would have been comparable to hiring the place out for a friendly. That is absolute nonsense barely worth a serious reply.

We might not have many fond memories but that is purely down to the fact that we've never even reached the area final, never mind final. I reckon Carlisle fans would be sad to see it go.

Obviously I made the point in an extreme way. Such is my style.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, and mine is that its a pointless cup that nobdoy watches ,until you get close to the final, and I suspect even losing in the final wouldnt bother anyone.

The point being, we are now saying we will boycott it, if the under 21 teams enter. As far as I could tell most fans boycotted it anyway. So creating a drama out of fuck all.

Nearly 60,000 at last years final, over 72,000 at the year before and over 73,000 the time before last Carlisle played in it. Nobody watches it though it getting to the final would clearly be an instantly forgettable experience.

Or would have before they destroyed it.

Yes because if Pools got to Wembley for the first time in our history nobody would go because of Pools fans contempt for the competition so much so the overall attendance would be nearly 20,000 than the lowest for a Wembley final in the competitions history.

I'm out, you don't have a point you are missing mine as well time retire from this thread.

That was going to be my choice. Great game, and a decent number there too. That air raid siren is still ringing in my ears! I did miss the first goal!

That scumbag Royston from Blackpool is cheerleading for the whole U21s idea. You'd think even the Football League, sorry EFL, would realise that if he is on your side you should stop the whole thing.

'PJ's darlings!?' Christ how childish is that? I only said I bet Carlisles fans would be sad to see it go. I'd imagine they would be after several trips to Wembley in it. As far as I'm aware the fans didn't get a vote the announcement was just about the first we heard of it.

Reply to the email that I sent to the EFL disagreeing with the B team inclusion:

"Good Afternoon Mr Blatter,

Thank you for your email, we note your comments.

May we take this opportunity to remind you that this is for one season only and is on a trial basis.

Whilst we understand that not everyone will agree with the idea, the EFL is committed to looking at ways of re-inventing our competitions in a way that will provide maximum benefit for our clubs.

The proposal was sent to clubs and much consultation took place to at the Summer Conference, where clubs were asked to vote in their divisional meetings.

We will be monitoring the trial closely with all of our member clubs.

Further information and full details will be released in due course.

Thank you once again for contacting the EFL. Your feedback is gratefully received.

Regards,
Jessica Crook
Supporter Services Department
EFL"

I am quite surprised that they haven't overturned the whole idea as I went to the trouble of emailing my disapproval.

Carlisle are a great club and their fans seem disappointed at the way their club voted, but it's no shock their cancerous owner is in favour of it - the same goes for the aforementioned Oyston at Blackpool.

The North Sea is about 100 yards from my house.

Stripping off and running into the bugger gets more appealing on a daily basis.

I'll have to get fit first. I'd probably get 30 yards before pulling my hamstring again or suffering paralysis from a back spasm.

Won't be going to any of the 'EFL' games as I normally would.

Fuck them and their b teams.

Surely these "B" teams or whatever will kick start England's football renaissance? At least, we will have a chance to verbally disembowel these wannabe under 23/4/5/6 Premier League, potentially, England nancies, to help ensure they never have the chance to humiliate the country Internationally.
Will the "EFL" let them play "the likes of Hartlepool's" with their headphones still attached?

If as they keep reminding us it's for one season only and we shouldn't worry about it, do they mean it'll not be repeated, because basically that's what they appear to be saying . Of course I don't believe that. To me it looks like a toe in the water exercise that if successful ( cue sound of tills ringing) it'll quickly move from a one off to a locked on fixture.
Don't forget, there's all the little Premiership minions who can see players from 'their' club who normally they can only see on the box who'll turn up to make the experience just that little bit more irritating.
All about the money.

The football league seem to think the answer to everyones problems is premier league B teams in the lower league, the clubs rejected it so they are trying to sneak it in without noticing.

Just keep not going. Nobody will notice anything different.

Pools should just play the youth team otherwise they are letting the protest down.

Pools should just charge 20-25 quid to get in just in the off chance any sad plastic mag or mackem wants to watch us play their reserves. Cant see more than 500 turning up to watch any of these games.
