I tried ringing up to renew my ticket and my call got answered within 2 rings and by the correct department and in a polite and cheerful manner.

So for once I didnt have to meet Russ at Verrils on a Tuesday to find out the secret code etc.

Well done the club!!

Not wishing to derail the thread, but Verrills seem to have new opening times. Like this:
Monday
11:00 AM - 1:15 PM
Tuesday
11:00 AM - 5:45 PM
Wednesday
11:00 AM - 5:45 PM
Thursday
11:00 AM - 4.45 PM
Friday
11:00 AM -5:45 PM
Saturday
11:00 AM - 1:15 PM
Sunday
Closed

My sister and I discovered this last week. On the minus side, although we found the shop open, the fish and chips were not as scrumptious or as crispy.

Next up, our report on Oxy Rd chippy.

Bedales at Tindale is by far the best in town and well worth a trip from Pools for Fish n Chips if you so desire.

Speaking of food... and sheer terror, we were making an early departure from the Isle of Wight a couple of weeks back.. The five off us had arranged to turn up at a certain riverside pub at daft o'clock in the morning for breakfast on the advice of the waitress who unfortunatley had a speech impediment which I mistook for somethng thing else and tried knocking the pub up.
So we headed towards Yarmouth to find somewhere to get an early breakfast and ended up at somewhere that sort of resembled a pub...... we barge in and ask abut breakfast as this smart women says follow me, which we did and suddenly realised we were in a grade 1 listed Georgian hotel .... she then says the terfifying words "I'll inform chef you've arrived" As we sit down we all start asking did anyone check the prices :uhoh: as the mammoth breakfast menu arrived....... it wasn't cheap :angry-tappingfoot:

In a vain attempt to put this thread back on topic, pleased to announce that as of yesterday I'm one of the 1,300 signed to the STE. No queues but three others came in for theirs in the 5 minutes I was in there, so steady enough.

Now that they've got my cash I'm confidently expecting news of a another signing.

How would one UNconfidently expect? If you aren't confident, it's not expecting, it's hoping. In fact, hoping is exactly what you are doing, when it comes down to it

If you cant do better than this, you should just recommend a chippy like everyone else.

Our lass unconfidently expected for 9 months - but it wasn't as bad as she'd feared.

Does this mean you're confidently expecting to sign a small bald person who drinks milk and can't run?

Needless to say I'm claiming my 250 notes clinched the Nsiala signing. And the new deal for Nathan Thomas.
