Right, so Woy and Wayne have told Englands fans to behave Lets see if they can follow that simple instruction.

All they have to do is keepoff the beer all day, sample a bit of local culture, go to a museum, eat loca lfood in a restaurant, sit in coffee bars etc etc.

They dont need to find a British Pub that does a full english and spend all day getting pissed up. They need to put their england shirts away for a few days, act like tourists, and only wear their shirts for the match. Its not complicated.

The players have asked them, so lets see if they can oblige.

And the other thing thats going to annoy me today, is all of those who are going to pretend to be Irish today, and support them. Oh god, why oh why do I have to put up with such cretiness behaviour.

I hope Zlatan makes Roy Keane very very angry.

Don't disagree with the sentiments about staying out of bother, but if I'd spent a ton of money going with my mates to follow England, the last thing I'd be interested in is the views of a pontificating armchair 'fan.'

Most are trying to have a good time and not be too much of a nuisance in drink anyway; the nut jobs need deporting not counselling.

Sadly it seems a can of fosters or a pint in the hand is seen as a fashion accessory these days.

I dont care if they are not interested in my views. I am just saying they should show respect and restraint. If they would rather go on the drink then they should go to Blackpool or somewhere.

They should show respect to the England team, the local French population, and the French Police, who have rather more to worry about than pissed up little englanders.

ANd anyway, its a football tournamnet not a beer festival.

Should be better thursday as lens has a beer ban for the day whilst england are there, not so good that russia are playing close by, get the impression their hooligans couldnt give a toss if they go out the tournament or not.

Cant wait for the 2018 world cup!

But I do have the answer Mr Poolie Mad.

Stop our retards getting any alcohol. Then they wouldnt kick off over very simple things, that shouldnt really bother grown men.

Simples.

Banning alcohol or stopping alcohol isn't the answer either. These people aren't fair minded people transformed as soon as they have a drink. They are arseholes to begin with. The Russians hadn't even been drinking they turned up organised and cordinated the violence some of them were seen
slipping in gum shields

Tens of thousands of England fans are in France having a great time on the drink, having a laugh mixing with other counties fans without a bit of bother. Let's let a minority of morons ruin the whole tournament for everyone else.

Most football fans are men; most men drink socially, ergo - (same goes for cricket and rugby)

Personally I've never had any truck with football hooliganism, unlike some of the posters on here who are apt to get a bit nostalgic nostalgic about their mispent youith. There's a world of difference between wanting a drink and a laugh and wanting to provoke a fight.

Zero tolerance for the hooligans, but expecting everyone else to have a trip round a museum and a nice cappuccino is unreal.

All froth and milk. You need a double espresso for museum tours.

You are one happy chappy aren't you Colonel?

I plan on enjoying a few days away with my friends, sampling plenty of alcohol and enjoying watching England scrape over the line against Slovakia.

I have no intentions of throwing my fists about.

Is that okay with you?

Only if you promise not to join in with songs such as Ten Jerman Bombers, No surrender to the IRA, and Cheer up (whoever the scotland manager is now).

If you fail that simple task, then I despair.

Great goal from Ireland, well deserved against another underwhelming team that relies on their aging stars.
