Belgium win.

England get through group after injuries solve Roy's too many attackers to choose from conundrum for him.

Not very dark horse: Spain. Still got a lot of very good footballers even though they were terrible in Brazil.

The thing is though such is the bloated nature of the tournament that 3 draws would probably be enough to get you to the next stage. I read an article by Michael Cox (he writes for the Grauniad and has his own site, Zonal Marking, which is well worth a read BTW) in which he said that if a team draws every group game 0-0 there's around an 80% chance that they'll advance! It's tricky trying to predict who you'll play in the round of 16 once you have got out the group. If England win their group they might play the third placed team in one of three others!

I think it will be a France v Spain final with the French continuing their dominance of tournaments they've hosted. They might have to buck their ideas up in defence though!

England should get to the QF's and maybe the SF's but that will be it. With England it seems to depend on how the first game goes.

Yeah I was going to say you'll breeze through with three draws!! 16 of the 24 teams go through to the next phase, which is a bit ridiculous really. We'll have to try really hard to go out at the group stage!

From a purely footballing perspective it's ridiculous that 24 teams are taking part. In some ways I suppose it's to be celebrated as it gives a realistic chance of competing to teams who would have otherwise never made it.

The flipside of course is that it's rendered the qualification process more of less redundant. You might as well give the 8 teams who make the QF's a free pass to the next tournament as there is next to no challenge to these teams given almost half of UEFA's members qualify. And it will almost certainly dilute the quality of the final tournament. As nice as it is to see Wales and the Republic of Ireland at the finals it needs to be remembered that neither actually won their qualifying groups. Under the old system Wales would have had to go into the playoffs and Ireland would have been out as they actually finished third! Northern Ireland did actually win their group so they would be competing regardless.

At some point, these things have to be about football.

My biggest bet of the competition is wales to finish bottom they look useless outside of Bale and Wayne Hennersey is pushing Darren Randolph for the perso keeper in it , a bit worried about the Russian injuries in midfield like.

Portugal have the best draw so have bet them ew, think Poland look overrated too Ukraine look just about as good as theme for me rather take them at 100:1 than Poland at 50:1

Randolph may be a bit busy with his Rep Ireland duties to fight off Hennessey for the shirt.
Ramsey looked like a world beater a few year ago before an injury. Barely hear of him now.
