So why bother installing floodlights if the players still come off for bad light, when the floodlights are on?

No wonder less people bother with the sport than ever.

A pink ball would possibly negate this given its what they used in the only day night test to date but I suppose switching during a game would unleash a maelstrom of potential issues.

Cracking effort with the ball by England so far.
