5 divisions of 20.

Pools need to improve and fast.

All to tackle fixture conjestion.

Didnt know division 4 had any.

Doesnt say how giving 4 less fixtures will affect season ticket prices.

Where's this come from Mr Colonel? Does make sense as there has been "talk" of this for a few years, to bring us into line with European Johnny Foreigner leagues (tiredness and all that, when no English team wins a European competition).

The FA are looking into restructuring the non league Pyramid for the 2017/18 season, so does make sense what you said above.

According to Football League chief executive Shaun Harvey, it makes sense for the extra spaces to be filled from teams from the National League but he has also left the door open for Premier League B teams to join the professional ladder.

Danny Mills and Shaun Harvey should be deported to Raqqa with immediate effect for this.

Off with their heads.

You'd never sell me another season ticket if this was enforced. So their logic is already fucked.

So less league games for lower league clubs, therefore less income over the course of a season. Effectively increasing the gap from the premier league.

Also it will affect the fans as ticket prices will no doubt go up to make up some of the lost revenue. But don't worry because the premier league will get richer and richer.

Next will be the Winter breaks where instead of resting the European clubs now errrrr........ play in friendly tournaments in "warmer climates". Nowt to do with money or owt. Its to do with players "rest and fitness"?

Zero chance of this being implemented if 90% is needed. At the moment bottom half championship teams are 1 good run from scraping into the play offs and getting the premier league money. This would see them an entire division away

There are far too many vague areas and suggestions at this stage. I don't see the point in getting rid of midweek games to then move the FA cup to midweek which I wouldn't agree with, especially when they're talking about moving the JPT to international weekends. Getting rid of cup replays and 4 less home games won't reduce club finances and it is hoped to make them better; I'd love to know how that one will work.

The league chief exec saying it means clubs will need less players but also said it'll be easier for kids to make it because there will be 'more' clubs despite them already existing and apparently going to have smaller squads. The main issue for me is the lack of detail on where the extra clubs will come from, to me it seems a back handed way of trying to get in B teams.

If we did take extra conference teams then surely there will just be a constant restructuring of all the leagues down the pyramid so they have the right number of teams. I can't see the Conference bosses agree to taking their teams, devaluing the league and knocking it further down the league ladder and in effect demoting all the teams another level.

I think most clubs wudent mind losing the income from the 4 home games if they were compensated with a fraction of the TV money currently going to the premier league clubs.

The most wonderful, simplistic and common sense proposal yet. Wonder why it doesn't get made by the Premier League themselves......

How about a twenty club fourth division north and south as in the old days. It would increase away support and less travelling expenses.

Can't see any problem with this. They are already doing it in the leagues below the Conference. There might be some pissing about involved in moving some of the conference sides about into different leagues but I like the theory.

Why did they scrap fourth division north and south in the first place?

Perceived imbalance between the levels of the teams, which in reality did exist but which wan't really that big a deal since only ONE team got promoted from each (the last one from 3N being Derby County).
In a new Northern division you could still expect to have to travel to places like Walsall. I believe that at one point even Colchester made it into the north of the divide in some trophy or another.

Theres also talk that Celtic n Rangers could become members of the new league proposals.
Would presume they would have to start off in division 5.
Two fixtures on a saturday to almost guarantee capacity crowds.

In reality will probably never happen but would play a huge part in getting the votes up to the 90% required for this new league to happen!

Not sure Rangers would want to go through yet another 4 leagues so soon after having to go through 3 Scottish ones.

May be a way of sneaking some Premiership B teams into the system
